Witchblade was sad! *cries*

OK, I didn't actually cry, but I was pissed-off-sad.

The bitch-lady from the NSWF (child welfare) was back to cause grief, telling Masane that they had found Rihoko's biological mother, who turned out to be Lady, one of the Cloneblades. It pissed me off how she could say things like "I know this is hard for you" and "Think of what's best for Rihoko, she deserves the love of her real mother." I would think that what was best would be to let Rihoko stay with the woman who raised her, not rip her away and give her to a virtual stranger, biological mother or not.

Masane and Rihoko attempted to run away again, but after Lady saved Rihoko from another Clonblade named Spider, she guilted Masane into giving her up. It was a hard scene to watch, with Masane trying to ease the pain by saying without Rihoko she could be free, pretending to act selfish. GAH! I hate stuff like that, but really it's the drama that makes anime great and vastly superior to American animation.

I've been keeping up with Witchblade on TV, but since I have up to DVD Volume 5 (which would make me 7 episodes ahead of the TV run), I think I'll forgo waiting an entire week to see the resolution to this plot thread

This episode also featured a new ending, "Kutsuhimo" by Asami Yamamoto. I really like it and I'll probably look for a copy after this post is done

Unfortunately, Episode 14 (next week) is the start of a new opening, which I've already seen and find utterly, atrociously horrible. It's REGGAE STYLE and does not fit the show at all!!!

I just hope Best Buy is back on the ball and has stocked Kurau Vol. 6 & NHK Vol. 3, the only shows I'm collecting that were affected by ADV's release hiatus. I'll be able to finish up Witchblade in April, and Hell Girl by late May. After completing those series and grabbing the last FMA box set, the only anime I'll still be actively buying will be NHK. But since I only have two volumes, should I finish up the single releases or wait for the box set? Opinions?
