The debating continues on OB. It was frustrating me for awhile, and I was really trying to repress a lot of anger and still find good, logical ways of arguing the issues. I think I'm winding down on that now. I know some people agree, which is nice, and I have to accept that others are just too entrenched in what they already think to ever be convinced otherwise.
Got one of the new CDs I've ordered in the mail today: the remaster of No-Man's Together We're Stranger. Been waiting for that to come along for some time.
The Princess Nine torrent finally finished downloading over the weekend after... one week, two? I lost track of how long it took. But I'm happy that it's finally done, and it IS the dub, which is what I was hoping to get. I never realized how many of my favorite VAs were in this show until I looked it up, but I should have expected it since it was an ADV title. So, now I'll have to start watching that, and... a few other things. ^^;
As I type this, I've been watching the Daily Show. EVERYONE should watch this episode, seriously. They went over the fact that McCain's negative campaign has wrought a sense of unfounded paranoia in his supporters over the possibility of Obama winning (little old lady calling Obama an Arab, and people actually booing McCain when he tried to defend his opponent, someone shouting "Traitor!").
Then there was a bit about McCain's ALL NEW STUMP SPEECH!... Which they played in split screen with his speech at the Republican National Convention, and they were the same word for bloody word...
Then Jon's guest was Ari Fleischer, former Bush Press Secretary. I am sick to death of these people continuing to tout trickle-down economics when it has been apparent for many years that the system doesn't work. You give tax cuts to the rich, they are going to keep that extra money for themselves and spend it on luxuries, and NOT spread it around to those who are in need. I think we can see the results of this system every day just by turning on the news.
Anyway, sorry to get so political, but I couldn't stop all that from coming out. As a genuine seeker of truth, I can do no less than point these things out and hope people listen.
Let's end on a more upbeat note...
