Let me introduce myself. I sign my art as "Kasey-chan", so feel free to call me that. My interest in drawing started when my sister and I went down to the book store and we discovered How-To-Draw-Anime books. It took off from there.
When I'm not scribbling away I am pursuing work in theatrical properties, spending way too much time on Netflix, watching too much TV, and wishing radioactive waste really did give people superpowers.

Life is Looking Up

So a few quick things. We got all of our stuff moved in the new house! Mal and I were successfully able to fit everything in our new (and effectively small) room, which is quite the feat. I can't wait until we have everything moved around and organized so our house will feel like home.
Other than that, my theatre job will be over in a week, which should leave me with some ample drawing time. My new manga idea is coming along. A friend from work lent me this vampire encyclopedia, so I am actually doing a lot of research before starting this manga, something I really haven't done before. It's giving me a lot of cool ideas. There are so many interesting vampire species to play around with.
Yup, so I better get going. I'm seeing a play today. ooo check out my newest pic!

5 Days Off

Hello All! (Well to all two or three of you who still keep up with my posts haha). Good news! Hello Dolly finally opened so now I'll have much more time to draw, which is needed because I haven't done more than three pictures in two months. My mind is about to have a creative explosion! argh! Come around August, you might even see a fan manga. I have two ideas I'm playing around with. One is an old old idea and the other is a vampire one. I seem to like vampire stories... with all the vampire romance crap that's out now (twilight. shoot me.) I decided I wanted to do something with a deeper plot, and some actual fights. Also maybe focus on the VanHelsing family. Though my skills at drawing battles are not exactly stupendous, but if I play around with styles then I could probably do it. So that's a tidbit of what's going on with my brain right now.
Other than that my family is moving. I am astonished about just how much crap 5 people can accumulate over the years.

The Post That Goes Like This.

Hello all! Well the results of the Valentines Day contest came out, and even though I only got an honorable mention, I'm pretty darn happy about that. Though I do admit, it's always a little disappointing to put a good amount of effort into something and have no reward. But that's my selfish side talking, I guess. I didn't draw it to win money, after all. And it's not like it didn't get recognized, so over all, I'm pretty satisfied with how I did. And congrats mewmewlover55! You deserve it ^_^.
Yup so in other art news, My sis and I completed our brother's birthday poster! Huzzah for Avatar the Last Airbender! I'll be posting that either tonight or tomorrow. Also, I'm working on my contest entry for Oji Nezumi's contest. I'm having a lot of fun with it, though I'm pretty sure it won't win. But oh well, it's still fun to work with. I don't think I've drawn a fairy since my "autumn fairy" I drew like last year 0.o. Yup I also have a siren (like the mythical evil singing mermaids) in the works too. I'm done inking her.
As for fan manga, a subject that has not been talked about for far too long. hee. Weeellll, I desperately want to start one up again, but I have no time. And I have an idea for a few new mangas, but I can decide which one to go for. Maybe I should put up a vote or something on my fan manga world (which, in had it existed in real life, would have a nice collection of cobwebs by now). If you guys are up for a vote. But usually my contests and such don't turn out so hot due to a lack of interest. huzzah. so if I end up doing that, will you guys vote?
and I have to go now. I hope to go around and comment later. Hopefully I'll get around to it. But my life is rather hectic now, which is mostly due to me being assistant stage manager in our upcoming musical, Spitfire Grill. From about 6-9 I'm at practice. After that, I like to goof off with my friends. Plus I have a job in the theatre shop (where we construct and paint all of our sets/props also costumes), which I want to work more at, because it's fun. ^_^. So that's my life at the moment.

Play Night and the Glorious Macbook

First off I just want you all to know that I am typing on the shiney keyboard of my wonderfu new Macbook Pro . I had a few problems starting it up and am still getting used to the Mac vs. PC. However, I am in love with it. It's so beautiful! lol.
On an another exciting topic tonight is PLAY NIGHT!!!! I am so excited! However, I have to get a shower and get ready to go there, I have to be there at 4:30 so this post will have to be a quickie. I hope I'll have time to catch up with the O ver the weekend.

The Weekend and Such

Well I was looking over my posts and realized I haven't posted since last saturday. So for my otaku friends who keep up with my life, I thought I had better make another one. Hopefully I'll be posting more, but since it's two weeks untill the school play I've been pretty preoccupied with that and have been on Otaku less. So the play is comeing along all right, though I find myself speaking in a British accent more often nowaadays lol. It seems like everywhere I go I think about the play, We went to see Peter Pan done ny another school last night. It was pretty cool because they hooked the actors up on wires to make them fly. But I just kept thinking, what if we did that for our play. "The Importance of Being Earnest on Air", can you just imagine?! lol. My sister and I conjured up images of 1700-1800's dressed English people flying around on stage saying things like "cucumber sandwiches!" "bread and buttter!" and "tea and cake!". lol.
So besides that I acctually got some art stuff done. I posted up a pic of Shadow Link from Super Smash Brawl or Twilight Princess (either or)that I drew for my one friends birthday. Consequently, I'm at his party right now and guess what we're playing?! Super Smash Brawl lol. Well, of course I'm not playing. I'm taking advantage if his unused laptop. So I'll answer PMs and stuff now.
