This is a world designed to help people get their creative juices flowing and get writing! Prompts will be given in order to encourage creativity without the pressure of needing it to be perfect. Some of your posts will be good, some may be bad, but none of that matters. As long as you're writing, you're doing it right!

There will be a new prompt every week or so (subject to change), and if you'd like to show the world your work, you can post it in A Blank Page. Please mention at the top of the post if you'd like feedback such as suggestions and constructive criticism.

Remember, this is a judgment-free zone. The prompts are meant to get you writing. Sometimes they may seem silly, pointless, or strange. However, the hope is that through writing these silly, pointless, or strange stories, you will expand your horizons, as well as overcome potential writer's block.

You can join at any point. Just send me a message or leave a comment, and you'll be added to the guest poster list. Your posts can be as long or as short as you'd like.

If you want to take this whole writing thing a step farther, here is a list of RPG worlds on theO that you may enjoy.

Prompt 3

I know you guys have all had ideas for a story at some point. How did you go about planning it? Did you ever start writing for it? Tell us about your brainstorming process, and maybe share an idea or two you've had.

Prompt 2

Your character finds himself facing his worst fear with nothing but the contents of YOUR purse/backpack/knapsack/gym bag. Does he survive?

(By "he" I also mean "she." We need a gender-neutral word in this language of ours.)

Prompt 1

Put your music on shuffle and hit "next' 5 times. Write a story explaining the song.

If you'd like, you can include a link/video of the song along with your post.
