Gintaru:The Walk

Continued from Defeating the hollows
Gintaru stood silent a moment, looking at the grave.
"Let's take a walk, Captain Matsumaru."
She looked up. "..Thank you, Head Captain...." She got up. "It's just...so much has changed in 50 years, I just....wish someone would have told me sooner...."
"It would have been hard either way. Would you have believed it then?"
"......No, I guess I wouldn't have..." She trailed off.
The Head Captain nodded, "How close were you & Hisana?"
"...Well,..." She told Harada everything, from before she left to the more recent meeting with Byakuya.
"...I see...so you were very close."
"Y-yes...it seemed that I wasn't important enough to be told that angered me more than anything....."
"Well, your being in the Americas for a while made it a bit complicated....but don't ever think that for a minute that you don't count, Gintaru, because it's not true. Promise me that."
Gintaru looked up in surprise. "Y-yes Head Captain...I thank you..." A small smile appeared.
Harada smiled as well. "Just take it easy for a while alright?" They stopped back at third squad barracks. "It seems your lieutenant is waiting for you."
"Eh...I've made them all worry. I'll have to apologize to Kuchiki later..." She bowed, "Thank you again..."
Gintaru walked inside, seeing Izuru at the desk. He stood up when his captain walked in. "Is everything all right Capt-"
He was cut off as Gintaru, overcome with grief again, ran over and started crying on his shoulder. "!!!!!" He rubbed her back akwardly. "...Don't worry, Captian...everything will be alright..."
