Thoughts of Tempest

Normal...

The word echoed in Tempest's mind, her eyes staring off into the distance. Normal was something she had never really known, and now, it just seemed like a fairy tale.

She felt trapped, now more than ever. She had come to believe that she was somehow once some type of Hollow, according to what the one she met had said, anyway. Tempest didn't know what to think... So she went to her captain, Madoka Kazuhiro.

Heading toward the Division 13 corridors, Tempest slid open a door quietly. It was the room of her captain, where she usually found him at a desk furiously writing something. She expectantly glanced in the general direction, but to her surprise, he wasn't there.

"Captain?" She called, the room quiet. She went into a small room which had books on walls that covered them from floor to ceiling. "Captain?" She called again.

"Gah!" A voice gasped, the sound of falling books following it. "Captain!" Tempest exclaimed, rushing to his side, only to find him buried in a pile of books. "Captain Madoka, Sir?" Tempest said, lifting a book to find his head.

"Oh, Tempest-san! H-Hello!" He greeted cheerily, "Glad to see you've made it back from the World of the Living!" Tempest nodded, giving him a small smile.

"Yes, about that..." She muttered. Madoka frowned, knowing by the tone of her voice that something was wrong. "What is it, Tempest?" He asked, escaping from the books and putting a gentle hand on her shoulder. Tempest looked up at him wearily.

"I have something I wish to ask you." She said. Madoka nodded. "I... I knew you would someday." He said, "Come on, let's have some tea." "Okay..." Tempest said, and sat down on a chair.

A few minutes later, Madoka came back, holding a tray of tea. Handing Tempest a cup, he asked, "So, what's on your mind, Tempest?" Tempest sighed, setting the cup down and folded her hands.

"It's... about the new breed of Hollows..." Tempest said darkly, shading her eyes.
