Transformers: Robots In Disguise

Hello Everyone,

This is my first post here on my Toybox world, and i thought id start it off by posting about some anime related toys/figures that i have.

The toys ill be posting about today are from the anime series called Transformers: Robots In Disguise. It use to be shown on Fox around the same time they use to show Ultimate Muscle and Medabots. Up until that point, i hadnt seen any Transformers related shows or new material since the original Transformers series was shown when i was really young lol, so it was really cool when i caught the episodes and i began recording them. Pretty soon after the series started getting good, the toys began hitting the shelves, so i went and bought some lol. The first one i bought was of course Optimus Prime. In this series he was a Firetruck, which was different, but still cool. He was still a great leader and he still had that aura about him lol.

Next, i ended up buying the Ultra Magnus Tranformer. In the original Tranformers series he was 2nd in command to optimus Prime, but in this anime version he was a bit of a loner. He also reprised his role as a Car Carrier. This transformer is so difficult to transform lol. When i pulled him out of my closet last week to transform him into robot form to take pics, it took me about an hour and a half lol. Here is a pic of Ultra Magnus in Robot Form

The other reason i wanted to get both of those transformers was that in the anime series, Optimus Prime and Ultra Magnus could combine to form Omega Prime (i believe that was the name they used, ill have to double check lol). Awesomely enough, if you managed to have both of the toys, they could combine as well. Here is a pic of them both combined in Omega Prime form :)

I also have the Build Team from the series, which was a group of construction vehicles that combined into one large transformer called Landfill, ill have to dig him out and take some pics of him as well :)

I dont play with them or anything, but they are still awesome to look at. The series had alot of upside to it, and im glad i was able to record all of the episodes before it was taken off the air. when i was browsing the internet last week for the Ultra Magnus transforming instructions, i came across a site that advertised the series on dvd, so i may have to check that out sometime :)

Well, i thank you all for visiting and i hope you enjoyed the post :) i hope to chat with you all soon :)

stay strong,

Yamcha
