Welcome, all Otaku members! I am excited to start a new community activity for all of you. Here are the details:
This World will be dedicated to hosting a school for the members of theOtaku.com. The intention is to help everyone increase their drawing/art skills in general and to, of course, have fun! It's also a great way to get to know people.
What are we going to do, exactly? Well, homework will be assigned to everyone (and everyone is expected to do it!). There will be deadlines and the reason why everyone is expected to complete the homework assignments is because... what's a school without its students doing their work!?

So to begin, if you'd like, please feel free to sign up to be a student at theOtaku Academy!

Here are the grades of the students who have submitted their homework for the first assignment. Your name will only show on this post if you allowed me to show it publicly. If you change your mind on your preference, or still haven't told me yet, ...

HW#1 Due Tomorrow & Grade Options

Hi everyone. I would like to first remind all of you that homework #1 is due tomorrow midnight (9/4).

Now, I would like to ask all of you what your preferences are for receiving your grades. It would be a lot of work to send every student a private message telling them their grade for every homework assignment, so I would like to see if I can save myself a little work.
If you don't mind letting others know your grade, I will make a post with a list of those people and the grade they received after each assignment is due. Otherwise, I will send private messages. To choose your preference, please comment on this post. If you don't, I will send a private message just to be safe. But if you want to keep it secret, please do comment on this post, so that I know for sure who is comfortable with what.

Look forward to your grades soon!

HW#1: theOtaku Academy School Uniform

I apologize for the long wait. I wanted to draw my OCs as a model for the school uniform, but I can't find the time to do them. Hopefully you all get the idea of the design, though. With that, let's finally start our classes! Teache...

Spreading the News & Reminders

I would like to use this post to ask of you currently enrolled students to help spread the news about theOtaku academy. It would be great if we had more students in the school. Thank you to those who assist me in this favor.

I have added a question to the FAQ in case any of you want to drop out of the school.

For those of you who do not already know, the first homework has already been assigned. See this post to view it. If you are unaware of this update, please check to see if you are subscribed to me or if you have bookmarked this World so that you won't miss anymore updates.
Also, if for any reason, you are unable to complete this first assignment by the deadline, you have two more days to notify me in order to decrease the number of cookies you lose.

Also, I forgot to mention this, but I changed the prizes for my past challenge, theO Academic Uniform Design Ideas. I decided to grant everyone who participated in the challenge one excused homework assignment. If you are curious to know how many excused HW assignments or number of cookies you have, feel free to message me about it. You can either send me a note if you don't want others to know, or comment on any latest post if you don't mind others knowing.

Thank you so much for your participation in this project! And may you have much fun!

Cookie System

Here I will explain the "cookie system," which is just a fun way to say "point system." Since just 'points' is boring, let's use cookies. XP

  • For every homework assignment completed, you can gain up to 5 cookies. The number of cookies you receive will depend on the effort you put in, amount of accuracy your homework fulfills asked from the assignment, and any other factors that may apply.
  • If you miss completing a homework assignment, you will lose 5 cookies.
  • All homework assignments are expected to be done by all students. If a student is unable to complete an assignment due to inevitable circumstances, they must report to their teacher giving the missed assignment within the first 7 days. This will result in the deduction of only 2 cookies.
  • When a student reaches 50, 100, 150, etc. cookies, they will be given a prize. The prizes are yet to be announced. Donations are open.
  • All students start with 25 cookies.

If you have any questions, take a look at our FAQ first.
