Victor -- And So It Goes

I was listening to this song while writing this, and I think it goes really well with the last scene, so I highly suggest you guys listen to it while reading it! Of course having my crazy brain, the images were just rolling in my head as I wrote this, so the song went perfectly. >>;;

---------------------------------
After they carried Rin's body to an empty room Victor slipped out, not wanting anyone to follow him. Walking quickly he entered a narrow hallway with a flight of stairs at the end which he began to bound up two steps at a time. At the end of the stairs was another hallway, this one with four doors, two on either side. He closed his eyes and tried to remember which one wouldn't lead the fool who tried to enter them to their bloody death. That was right! He started knocking lightly on the doors until he found one with a hollow ring to it. Opening it slowly he peered inside. Leon was sitting at a small table.
"You're late!" he sneered.
"Sorry, I got mixed up in a few quibbles." Victor was quick to apologize. Hooking his foot around a chair leg, he pulled it out and plopped down. "I have the information on everyone. Just what you wanted. I set up the last machine to full power and disposed of the guardians. Everything is done. The way is paved for you. Hell, Maria, Spati, Tessa, Moonsong, that little kid - what was his name . . .oh, right Ciel, and all the others are completely in the dark. They have no idea what you are planning. They are unsure what to do. They aren't even trying to stop you anymore, it seems." Victor passed three crimson files to Leon who glanced at them nonchalantly, picked them up, and flipped through them.
"I saw what happened earlier. What are you doing screwing around? You know what will happen and how much time you have left."
"Aw, is that concern I see?"
"Don't be a fool, Victor. You're still useful to me, but I can't have you gallivanting about. You know our agreement, correct?" Leon narrowed his eyes.
"Indeed I do, friend, but I just wanted to have a bit more fun before, well, you know." a cough rumbled up through Victor's chest filling his lungs with liquid. "I've been able to keep it from them. They do not know I am dying." he sighed "I guess six attempted suicides, being killed ten times, and mortally wounded a couple hundred times can shorten a life span by a few years, eh?" chuckling, Victor took a sip of wine from a glass that appeared by his elbow. "It's been fun, though." another cough made its way out.
"I can fix that, you know."
"Yes, sweetheart, I know you can, but I'm too old for this to go on. Besides, I miss Ji Soon. Not that I'll be able to see her. Do you believe in hell, Leon?"
Leon scoffed. "Hell is an old wives tale! You don't believe in that horseshit, do you?"
"I don't know, you may think it's all rubbish, but I'm not so sure. Anyway, if there is a hell I'm sure that's where I'll be heading."
Another scoff erupted from Leon's side of the table. Victor smiled and waved his hand as if to dispel any images that may have lingered.
"Leon, I know you want to be known as the bad guy, but don't you think you should at least tell Spati why you're doing this? I've been utterly horrible to all of them for you."
"Shut it."
"Okay! Okay! I understand your need to be the bad guy after what happened to him." another sigh. "It's been fun playing a crazy asshole. Though I do feel bad for calling them into this world."
"It had to be done, Vic. You know that!"
"Aye, I do. So, are we going to do it?"
Leon looked startled and then glared at Victor dangerously. "Not like that, Leon! Hahahaha! Zeus, no! I just meant. . .hahaahahahahaha" laughter washed over Victor as he doubled up, clutching his sides.
"Are you done yet?" asked Leon after a few minutes had passed.
"Yea, heehee, I am." straightening up, Victor looked at the other man, there was no more trace of laughter. Suddenly he started coughing uncontrollably, falling to his knees and clutching at his throat, Victor couldn't stop shaking.
"Vic!" Leon sprang out of his chair and knelt by Victor, pulling his head up. "What's . . ." but he trailed off as he saw the blood that was leaking from Victor's mouth in large quantities.
Managing a weak smile, Victor wiped some of the blood off his chin and twitched his nose. "If we're going to do it, we should start now before I have no more time left."
A nod from Leon. They both stood up. "I'll make it as painless as possible."
"Don't be daft, mate. It should be bloody painful. I mean, I'm a good actor and all, but I want this to be genuine. Got it?"
Pausing for a moment and looking at Victor's serious expressing, Leon nodded once more and they both left the room.
"About Moonsong." Victor started and looked at Leon. "Did you really have to, you know." he pulled his finger across his throat and cocked his head.
"None of your business."
"A'ight, I get it. Just, be easy on her. I know you always did have a thing for picking on the person you liked, but this is a bit much."
"Says the person who's lover and child I killed."
"I forgive you for that, Leon. You know I do. I understand why you did it."
"After you ripped my heart out and ate it before burning my corps and throwing it to the wind."
"Oi! I didn't actually EAT it . . ."
"Enough talk, here they come." they both heard arguing. It was Spati, Ciel, and Falcon.
"You've failed me, Victor." Leon's bored voice rang out in the eerie silence. The three who were bickering with each other stopped and took cover behind the door, gazing at the top of the stairs where Leon and Victor stood.
"I'm sorry, Leon, I just can't do it anymore. The world is ENDING Leon! I've been watching you, gathering information. You're crazy!" Victor shoved Leon back and called up his Weapon of Mass Destruction.
Leon eyed the massive bloodstained chainsaw cautiously. "You betrayed me by breaking into my rooms with that woman! You tried to bring Moonsong back. You nearly killed me. I deem that you are far too dangerous to keep around Victor."
"Just try it, Nancy-boy, just try it." was the taunting reply.
"Go to hell." Leon summoned up a wicked looking spear and with a single thrust, plunged it deep into Victor's chest, twisting it viciously.
As the spear writhed and finally protruded out of his back, Victor smiled a little; blood gushing down his chin, his chest, splattering on the floor.
A languishing scream arose from the door where Falcon, Spati, and Ciel hid. Victor turned his head slightly to the left, his dimming eyesight made out Falcon being held back by Spati and Ciel. How sweet. He would have liked to know that impetuous boy more.
Leon leaned close to Victor as the hilt of his spear right up to Leon's hand sank into the vampire's chest.
"I'm sorry" Victor whispered weakly "and thank you." a single tear leaked out of Leon's eye. He let go of the spear handle and Victor slowly fell down the stairs, with one last heart-wrenching smile. The blood seemed to be suspended in the air for a moment, like it was in slow motion. Then he hit the ground with a resounding thud. Everything was going black, the cry of dismay sounded far away. He could dimly feel himself being lifted up and cradled. He saw Falcon's tear stained face before his eyes.
"We were supposed to have fun, we were supposed to be together." the words felt like they were being called from a long way off.
"I think I could have fallen in love with you, Falcon." Victor touched his hand to Falcon's face, leaving a streak of blood.
He closed his eyes and let out one final breath.
"You're a damn fool, Victor." Leon turned around and disappeared.
Somewhere in the distance, the owl Archimedes hooted mournfully.
Victor was dead.

Thanks for putting up with me, everyone. :D It was really fun while it lasted, but this is too distracting for me to continue. >A<;; I'm supposed to be doing my school and studying for tests so I can't concentrate on this anymore. I thought I'd add a few twists in before I left, though. I hope you all don't mind. It's been loads of fun. Thanks!
Sorry for the long ass post.
