Victor -- Interesting

"Ah then, let me tell you some things you might need to know." Victor smiled gleefully. "You see," he said as he slung his arm around Rin's shoulder. "Leon's my best mate. Seriously, he's bloody brilliant! Right now he's got these kids, who, by the way, are working against him, wrapped around his finger! Really! Right now they should be trying to stop his diabolical plan, yet they're drinking tea and eating biscuits! It's brilliant!"
Rin nodded intently which made Victor like her all the more. Here seemed to be someone who didn't hate him right away like all the rest had. It was nice to be liked for a change. "Now." he continued "you're probably wondering why, if he brought you here, hasn't he come to give you orders or check up on you. Well let me tell you something, sweetheart. Leon's not that type of guy. He's very busy right now building up a machine that will destroy the world. It's really fascinating once you hear the mechanics behind it . . ." Victor trailed off, speculating for a moment. Then he shook his head. "Listen, love, if you'll come with me we can discuss things in a more private room." he looked at the other people and sneered. "These conditions are not desirable."
"Alright, you seem to know more than these guys at any rate." Rin agreed.
"Excellent choice! I'm Victor, by the way. Nice to meet you." Victor began to lead her away.
"Wait! Victor! I thought -" Tessa started to speak but stopped dead when Victor turned his head and gave her a look that could cool molten lava.
"Hey!" it was Spati this time. He put a hand on Rin's shoulder and turned her around to face him, knocking Victor's arm off her shoulder. "Don't trust him! He's completely crazy. Stay with us, Rin. We'll figure something out!"
It was Rin's turn for an icy stare. "When I want your advice I'll ask for it." a sneer almost identical to the one that had graced Victor's face a few moments earlier appeared. Then with a disdainful sniff from Rin and a contemptuous laugh from Victor, the two of them walked off.
