Dewey: *Iven lifts it up a little and Dewey shoots and it nearly knocks Reka's off*

Reka: Not bad. ^^b

Iven: Okay, *points to Dewey* Do you want a go now?
Dewey: *surprised* O-oh okay *steps to the shooting area and shoots, kinda hits it, scrapes the side but stays on* huh?!?

@Ellenor Mererid:

Reka: Thanks. *grins* Well, since I did hit the board, someone else can go ahead and take their turn. ^^

@kita mikichi:

Iven: *nods* Not bad, slowly getting there

@Ellenor Mererid:

Reka: *pulls back and lets it go; the arrow hits at the second ring in from the edge*

@kita mikichi:

Iven: You get used to it, now try and pull it back as far as your ears

@Ellenor Mererid:

Reka: Sure. *loads the arrow* Woah, that bowstring is harder to pull back than it looks.

Naoyuki: Th-Thank you! *steps out of the way so someone else can have a turn*

Naoyuki: *tries one more and just gets the edge* Ah!

Iven: *smiles at Naoyuki, encouragingly* One more go, and I'm sure you'll hit the board this time

Naoyuki (mumbling bashfully): Thankyou. *lets the arrow fly, and it just barely misses*

Reka: That was a little better.

@kita mikichi:

Iven: *notices Naoyuki struggling and holds the bow in place for Naoyuki to shoot*

@Ellenor Mererid:

Naoyuki: *nods and pulls back another arrow; he's having a hard time keeping it in place while aiming*

@kita mikichi:

Iven: *nods and turns back to Naoyuki* you have . . 2 more goes

@Ellenor Mererid:

Reka: Hm, do you guys want to rotate after three tries?

@kita mikichi:

Iven: *understands* I don't know, *to Reka* How many goes does he get?

@Ellenor Mererid:

Naoyuki: Um.. H-How many tries...? (<--signing a bit out of habit)

@kita mikichi:

Iven: Hmm, try and pull it past your ear

@Ellenor Mererid:

Naoyuki: Oh.. *nods and pulls back the arrow, but not hard enough, and the arrow lands in the grass*

@kita mikichi:

Iven: *shows how he's meant to hold it* and pull it back as far as you can

@Ellenor Mererid:

Reka: Naoyuki, want to give it a shot?

Naoyuki: Eh? Um.. Uh! *not even sure how to hold the bow properly*

Reka: Thanks. We get three sets of arrows each to start off.

Iven: *nods in return and then turns to Reka* Yeah, that should be fine for you

Naoyuki: Ah.. Th-Thank you. *sheepishly takes it*

Reka: ..And I'll pick this one.

@kita mikichi:

Dewey + Jessie: *chose their bows*

Iven: *notices Naoyuki's fidgeting, looks at Naoyuki for a moment and then chooses a bow for Naoyuki* Here, this one will be best for you

Reka: All right, here we are! *has paid for everyone to get into the archery range* Now we all get to pick out a bow and some sets of arrows.

Naoyuki: *fidgeting nervously*
