We went to Area this week. It was really horrible because we marched our hearts out and only came in 14th!!!!! Bands with no colorgaurd(flags) got in before us!We only had to get 10th place to get to finals. We sat in the stands, hearing the names in alphabetical order, so we were going to be last, our name starts with W. China Springs through Taylor (our rivals) were announced along with much rejoicing from the lucky band that made it. We waited patiently for our name to be called. No cigar. Everyone was crushed. The Bing, our band director, told us the news, and with a heavy heart, we went home defeated.
