I'm watching the news right now, and those people keep saying the teachers will go on strike during the grade-schoolers' term papers. OK, nothing interesting there, since I'm in high school right now. It just so happens that high school teachers are usually called to supervise during these term papers and they're planning to go on strike now!
Normally, I wouldn't be upset at all since I have two term papers this week and the CAE exam on Friday (Speaking) and Saturday (the rest); that way, I'm happy to get an extra day for studying and all, but now they've switched and want to go on strike on Thursday, when I'll be having my Informatics term paper, instead of tomorrow (Tuesday)! Not that it matters anyway, since the teacher said we're gonna take the exam regardless of the strike >_>
I don't think the kids care too much about it either, even though it affects their high school entrance exam greatly (since the term paper grades are part of the average score). There's also a lady on TV who's pretending to care about this situation, going all "oh, poor, helpless kids, not taking the exams thanks to the mean old teachers!". Honestly, these people make us look like idiots. Bah, I'm confused. I guess I'll be watching the news for a looong time @_@
Another thing is, my parents are returning home tonight. They've been away during the weekend, on a trip to the mountains; I stayed home to study for the exams I have this week ~_~ Well, not that I minded, since I feel like I'm being kept in a cage whenever I go there with them. I don't know anyone from that town and I don't want to either >_> As incredible as it may seem, I'm not too eager to get friendly with angsty teens who spit out sunflower seeds faster than a machine.
