Although the upcoming 2009 movie "Star Trek" isn't out in theaters yet, it appears that yesterday, Paramount Pictures (the "Star Trek" franchise's creation/production company and co-copyright holder) had officially begun planning stages for a 12th "Star Trek" movie, which is expected to be the sequel to this year's Trek flick. However, it is not yet decided on what will be the 12th "Star Trek" film's main premise, but note that the producers and writers of this year's "Star Trek" film will be involved in work on the later film, with its script to be ready for December of 2009 and official theatrical release set for sometime in 2011.
