News: Star Trek/LOSH Comic Miniseries

Today, IDW Publishing announced at the San Diego Comic Con that it will be collaborating with DC Comics to publish a 6-issue miniseries scheduled to launch in October, 2011. This miniseries is "Star Trek/Legion of Super-Heroes" and it will be the first time in "Star Trek" history that a comic book published for commercial distribution features "Star Trek" characters intereacting with those of the "DC Comics Super-Heroes" (DC Universe) franchise. In this miniseries, it's a time-and-space travel adventure where the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 (representing the 23rd Century) meet the Legion of Super-Heroes (representing the 30th Century) as they must join forces to battle the conquest-hungry Imperial Planets of Terra and rectify reality/time back to what it's suppose to be. Note that the portrayal of the Enterprise crew will be based on the original "Star Trek" series. Also, keep in mind that this series is neither part of the offical "Star Trek" continuity, nor set in any of the universes from the official DC Super-Heroes contnuity.

Anyway, here's the cover for the miniseries' premier issue below:
