News: First Star Trek Statue By Hollywood Collectibles

It's been a month since I last posted a "Star Trek" post. Anyway, onto the news!

Statue manufacturer Hollywood Collectibles now holds license to manufacturing "Star Trek" statues for customers to purchase. The first item in the company's statue series is scheduled for release in the 1st quarter of 2011. The item itself is a 10-inch replica of James T. Kirk sitting on the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701's main bridge commnad chair, but it's based on the original "Star Trek" T.V. series. According to Hollywod Collectibles, there will be two versions of the statue to sold (each to go by price of $199.95): 1) a regular edition made of 600 pieces, and 2) an exclusive limited edition made of 150 pieces (and including Starfleet data chips and captain's logbook).
