Chapter Six: Someone Is Watching

~*Miyuki*~

Opening my eyes slowly, I brought my hand to my head. ‘What on earth happened?’ I thought. “K-Kuori? I had the strangest dream…” I called out as I sat up. Kuori came into the room and smiled slightly.

“A dream? What about?” He asked.

“Well, you and I were at a party or something, and, and I didn’t know you were Zero.” I said. As I looked at him, I saw a little spark in his eyes and I blinked. “It, wasn’t a dream…” I realized. “Oh! I’m so stupid! I touched something I shouldn’t have, didn’t I?!” Kuori laughed and I felt my face heating up.

“Don’t worry, I took care of it.” He smirked. “You’re so cute when you’re embarrassed.” He said. That only made my face burn more. “How do you feel?” He sat down on the edge of the bed.

“I’m ok, sleepy and I have a slight headache, but I’m fine.”

“You’re sure?” His face got a little closer.

“Y-Yeah.” I said. He leaned forward and I closed my eyes, expecting a kiss. Instead, I felt his lips brush my ear and I breathed in sharply.

“You looked lovely in that dress.” He whispered softly. I shivered a little and bit my lip. I went to say something and he pulled away, chuckling. “I’m making some food, are you hungry?” He asked.

“Y-Yes…” ‘But not for food…’ I thought.

“Ok, come out when you’re ready.” Kuori smiled and left the room.

“Y-You little tease!” I called after him. I heard him laugh. “Yeah you’ll think its funny until I turn you down one of these times!” I said as I came out.

“Yeah, like that would ever happen.” He muttered.

“Excuse me?” I raised my eyebrow and crossed my arms.

“Would you really?” I blinked and he was right in my face, a seductive look plastered all over his face. He put his left hand on my cheek and traced my lips with his thumb. “Well? Would you?”

“I-I…” I had lost this battle. Kuori smirked and kissed me gently.

“I didn’t think so. Come on, you should eat so you don’t pass out again.”

“Fine…” I murmured. We ate and joked a little, and then tossed in a random movie and sat on the couch. “When do you think-” The doorbell cut me off. Kuori got up and opened the door. “Tai!” I was shocked when I saw him. He was bundled up, his nose red, lips chapped and his eyes were watery.

“Hi…” He said as he walked in.

“You look awful, come on, lets get to the guest room now.” Tai didn’t protest and I took him into the room and made sure he got into bed. “Do you need anything?” I asked. He took my hand and smiled a little.

“I’m ok, thank you though Mi.” He said hoarsely.

“If you need anything, please, let me know.” I said. He nodded and laid down, but didn’t seem like he relaxed. “And sleep, that’s the best thing for you, Kuori and I will keep a watchful eye out, don’t worry ok?”

“Alright.” His eyelids dropped and I closed the door quietly and went back to Kuori.

“He looks like death.” I said. He pulled me down on the couch and chuckled.

“He’ll be fine, I promise.” His arms wrapped around my waist and he pressed his lips to my neck.

“K-Kuori! What’s gotten into you?!” I gasped.

“I guess that experience earlier got to me, are you complaining?” He asked.

“No…but, Tai is here…” I squeaked.

“That’s true.” He let his hands roam my back and I ran my fingers through his hair.

“N-Not much more, please…something feel odd…” It pained me to say it, but I had to be honest.

“Odd?” He looked at me.

“Like, someone is watching us…” I said.

“Watching us? Taisuke is sleeping though.” He blinked.

“I know, I don’t know, m-maybe I’m just being paranoid.” I knew I was blushing. He smiled a little.

“You’re heart is racing.” He said. “Are you nervous?”

“Y-Yes, but, you should know I d-don’t mind this, it’s, nice to see this side of you every once in a while.” I said. “I just, feel strange.”

“It’s ok Miyuki, I understand. Should we make something for Tai? Maybe if we made him some soup it could help with the, um, cold that he has.” He smiled. I nodded.

“So, chicken noodle?” I asked.

“That sounds good to me.” He answered.
