According to this article, Hatsune Miku is about to make a big hit internationally. In case you didn't know,
Toyota Motor Sales, USA, Inc. has been using the increasingly well-known Vocaloid Hatsune Miku as a means of rolling in the anime/manga fans in America for their business. I honestly think it's a great idea, but will Americans buy it? Meaning, will they accept a virtual anime character that's advertising cars on TV? It will be interesting to see. Anyway, here are two commercials that I have seen thus far thanks to Facebook:
