Chapter 5- Friendship of the odd kind
“Get up Karin it’s time to get ready for school” yelled Haruhi for the kitchen. Karin sighed as she crawled out of bed. She got dressed in a red skirt, white long sleeve shirt; white knee high socks, a black sweater vest and white buckle up shoes. She walked out to find Haruhi wearing the same thing but opposite colours (Like the picture). They ate breakfast and walked to the DWMA. “Hey ladies” yelled Kid. The two girls waved and ran over to him. “Wazzup” yelled Haruhi. “Hello” said Karin. Just then the rest of the gang walked over. “Hey Karin” said Black*star. “Hey Haruhi” said Soul. “Someone’s got a crush” teased Maka. “Shut up” said Soul and Black*star at the same time. Haruhi and Karin giggled then ran into the DWMA. “What’s with them?” asked Karin. Haruhi just shrugged. They walked into class and took a seat up the front. “What do we do about Soul? He’s trying to eat my soul” said Karin. “Chill, I’m sure you’ll be fine” said Haruhi. The others walked in and class started. Stein decided he would dissect a panda. Haruhi sat there crying while Karin was in her own world. *I don’t know if I really am safe* thought Karin. Karin looked up from her desk to see Haruhi clinging to Soul. *Figures* thought Karin with a smirk. The class ended and Karin and Haruhi went outside with their lunch. “It’s always nice to share a boxed lunch with a friend” sang Haruhi. Karin sighed and lay under a cherry blossom tree. “How beautiful” whispered Karin. “Yahoo” someone yelled. Karin sat up and said “What was that?” Black*star jumped out of the tree right in front of Karin. “Holly shit” screamed Karin, she fell backwards and hit her head. “Ow” said Karin rubbing the back of her head. “Sorry, I guess I’m such a good assassin I could scare a death god demon” said Black*star. He gave Karin an apologetic hug and ran off. “That was weird” said Haruhi. “A-a-agreed” stuttered Karin, blushing.
Karin and Haruhi zoned out for the rest of the day in class. As they walked out of class Soul, Maka, Black*star and Tsubaki walked up to them. “We have a favour to ask?” said Maka. “Sure anything for you guys” said Haruhi. “Um, this is a bit awkward but would you mind spending the rest of the day with Soul and Black*star?” asked Tsubaki. The two girls nodded. “Ok, Karin you get Black*star and Haruhi gets Soul” said Maka. Tsubaki and Maka ran off leaving the four kids alone. “Come on Soul-kun” yelled Haruhi dragging Soul down the steps. “Well, what do you want to do?” asked Karin. Black*star stood there thinking for a bit before giving his answer. “Let’s go on an adventure” said Black*star. Then he picked Karin up Bridal style and ran down the DWMA steps.
