Lifestyles of the ... Something and ... Someone

This post inspired by timechaser unveiling his quite large anime collection.

It has been at least a couple of years since I did a "hay guyz check out my room!!!!1" post. Not that it has changed much, but you know. A lot of you guys and gals have not seen it, anyway -- it is not much to speak of, but it's home. *cue nostalgic music*

So, um, on to the show! Yay for useless self-obsession!! Also, I apologize in advance for almost certainly entering into tl;dr territory.

The view from the door. Gives a decent idea of my room's size. This is the cleanest the room has been in months, btw. WAY more sunlight than usual, too.

A box next to my bed with various ... things. Mainly, it is full of video game magazines I have collected over the years -- I have a TON of old Electronic Gaming Monthlys from the early '90s, as well as nearly every issue from about 1999-present (been a subscriber for a LONG time, haha). I have a bunch of Nintendo Powers, too -- was a subscriber during elementary school, and I had one my senior year of high school since I got The Legend of Zelda: Collector's Edition free with a one-year magazine subscription.

Movies on top are the ones I checked out from the library this week -- Touch of Evil, Perfect Blue, Five Easy Pieces and Paths of Glory. The paper is a GINORMOUS list of movies I need to see. And then there's Burning Chrome by William Gibson off to the side.

That box is a visual approximation of how my room normally looks. XD

My wonderful TV in a suitably godlike picture angle. Say hi to Kirk Douglas, everyone! Haha. I won this TV during a basketball game I attended at school. Smash Bros. Brawl looks quite awesome on it. Lag has never before been so purdy.

The ol'Rock Band kit with the Wii. The Rock Band controller looks soooooooo much cooler than the Guitar Hero III controller.

A cabinet that is basically used to stack stuff on top of now. Always have to keep the Rock Band box handy in case I want to tow it to someone's house. Those Ultimate Sandman collections are heavy, enormous and awesome. The Basketball Book is quite the awesome. I don't even remember what is on those tapes anymore.

Random malarkey. My three go-to Wii games right now on proud display, two good DS games (Hotel Dusk and Polarium -- my brother has my Phoenix Wright games right now.) and, uh, CDs and stuff. Hmm.

The wall scroll still hangs proudly.

This is actually the cleanest this has ever looked. That stack is every issue of the school paper I was ever involved in. Also, my beloved headband and shooting sleeve. :D

The books are a random collection of Choose Your Own Adventures, Batman and X-Files novelizations and some actual literature *wink wink* (Robert A. Heinlein, Poe, H.G. Wells, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, etc.).

The bookshelf of win and glory. This is the most consistently neat thing in my room, which probably says a lot about how I live.
