Not good times ...

I had to leave the live streaming last night due to a family emergency; well, the emergency was that my grandma had a mini stroke and was taken to the hospital. Pretty scary. I was all set to go to the hospital with my parents, but I ended up staying behind at the house to keep my brother company (he was pretty tired). Basically I sat around waiting for news and relaying it to my sister (she's at her boyfriend's family's house right now).

Good news is, at least for now, my grandma seems to be doing OK. They gave her a cat scan, and nothing seems to be horribly wrong, but the hospital kept her over night and will run more tests today, just in case. It was really scary to hear about all of a sudden, but doing a bit of (super duper light) medical research reassured me a bit, since a mini stroke isn't nearly as bad as the big one (as the name itself implies, I guess). I'm really terrible at immediately latching on to the worst case scenario, so it was nice to have something to pull me back down to Earth a bit.

Also, I want to thank you all: I turned my computer back on, and while I didn't feel like logging back on to Skype, but I did tune into the Super Mario World live stream. It was a great comfort to have something to make me smile and laugh a bit during a fairly rough time; I'm grateful for you guys.

In closing: Fuck Butter Bridge.

EDIT: Got to visit my grandma for a bit before going to work. She seems to be doing OK; pretty tired, bit of a headache, but no major damage. She should be finished with her MRI as I am typing this, so perhaps I will get more news soon.

In second closing: Blue Yoshis.
