I like the first two-thirds of Ponyo a lot. The end is where it falters.

I need to watch Porco Rosso. I saw part of it one time on TV but it was very late at night and I just couldn't stay awake. ^^

By the way... MARIMITE 4TH SEASON DVD SET finally being released July 6! *already pre-ordered it* Plus I hear they're making a live-action film too. o3o

I still want to see The Men Who Stare at Goats. If I may reveal more of my strange nerdy ways, I used to be interested in remote viewing and whole bunch of other strange stuff (hence, my Communion review). I'd like to see a more absurd take things like that, since I rarely see them anywhere (or, at least, done with a certain amount of cleverness and skill. Clumsy and inept parodies are easy enough to find).

#1 - Agreed on the Ponyo ending. It's a good movie, but then it just kinda... stops. You expect a bit more.

#2 - GASHSPLURNIT I need to see Porco Rosso. :I It's like, one of the few Miyazaki/Ghibli movies I have yet to see.

#3 - Make sure you see both of 'dem movies on your queue there. They're both worth it.

Whisper of the Heart is totally worth watching (despite it's awful, awful name). I quite enjoy that movie.

And I'm glad someone else felt that Ponyo's ending was a little abrupt. It almost felt like the creators realized how long it was getting and went, "Ho'crap, better wrap this up!" I mean, don't get me wrong, I love the movie. The ending just wasn't the strongest.

Carey Elwes plays another fighter pilot rival? Didn't he get enough of that in Hot Shots? =P

Ponyo had some made of win scenes, though, you have to admit.
