Breaking down

Kokoro walked up to me. “Do you need any help?” She asked.
“I should be fine.” I tightened my grip on the wire that was wrapped around my left hand. I could feel the blood slowly crawling down my arm and gathering at my elbow as I had my right hand placed on the handle of the dagger that was on my left hip.
The darkness faded from around us.
“Do you think Vathana got some answers?” I questioned snapping the wire back into the belt.
“Considering that bad guys don’t give in that easily, I highly doubt that.” She sighed shrugging her shoulders.
I converted Tanaka back to his sealed state. My sleeves wove back together. And I put him away.
“Hisa, Hisa are you alright?” Akane asked running over to us.
“Yes Akane I’m fine.” I sighed.
“NO YOU’RE NOT!” She smacked me up side the head.
“Ow, what did you do that for?” I rubbed my cheek.
“DON’T LIE TO ME; YOUR SHOULDER IS BLEEDING… What’s wrong?” Akane stated.
I looked in the direction that we were heading before we were attacked. The rest of the group joined us. “…Rai.” I took off in the direction that the spiritual pressure was coming from.
Vathana easily caught up to me. “Hisa don’t just go running off.” He skid in front of me and held his arms out.
“I can see this maze just fine; Raidon has engaged in battle. Can’t you feel his spiritual pressure?” I knew I didn’t stand much chance on my own in this never ending maze but something just told me I had to keep moving.
He grabbed my right arm and I winced in pain. “You’re in no condition to be going anywhere.”
I tried running past him but he squeezed my arm and I stopped.
“You pulled a reckless stunt using your bankai. You’re lucky that you didn’t crush any of them with your spiritual pressure. What are you trying to do get yourself killed?”
My knees gave way and Vathana caught me I broke down into tears
“Hisa.” He whispered shocked to see me crying.
“I don’t know what to do any more. I promised to protect them; all of them. And now Rai’s gone, what use am I to people if I can’t even protect the ones I care about?”
Everyone was quiet around us. “I’ve pushed myself as far as I could. That’s why I can’t give up I always keep going even if I’m at the point of exhaustion.”
Then Vathana did something I didn’t expect him to do he hugged me. “Don’t place this burden all on yourself. You’re not alone.”
