Bleh, I hate the summer. Its too hot for my northern blood to handle. Seriously, I'm almost full blooded with the U.K. Scottish, Irish, and English, with just I think about six percent German. I'm half English, (because my father is full blooded english), and I am used to cold genetically. But yet, my skin looks like that of a fourth african after being outside for just two weeks without sunscreen. I don't burn either, much to the dissatisfaction of my mother.
I always found things like race interesting. Maybe because I was almost a full blooded something. I remember my grandfather always telling me that I should be proud to be a descendant of a blood line that has been around since the middle ages. He even showed me the family crest once. I can't go and look it up either and show you because my families last name was changed when they came to america cause it was too hard to pronounce. Damn americans.
So my brother, my mother, and I always make fun of my dad during Saint Patricks day because he is the only one without irish blood. Its always fun. But he never feels left out, otherwise it wouldn't be very fun, because we live next to the O'Reilly family who are almost full irish. If only the father didn't have just a little bit of german in him. But like I said, race of people and where they came from has always fascinated me because my family has so many stories from our past. We seem to remember everything from early on, which isn't something a lot of families have. Nor are a lot of families almost full blooded like mine.
So a question for you. What's in your blood?
