No one ever let me draw while listening to dubstep EVER again. I mean seriously its kinda weird...I might even scan one in just so that you can see exactly what I'm talking about. But seriously, I am going to have a mass scan tomorrow because I really need to get a lot of my stuff colored or at least on my computer so I know what I want to do with them. I'm talking scanning at least 30 pieces too. Ugh...it'll be a long day tomorrow.
In other news, I was thinking about just how many OC's I have and realized that I have over fifty of them. Which isn't that amazing in reality...but the weird part is that if I pick a favorite character from all of my stories (I only have four of them) then three out of the four all can have the nickname Ben...And it isn't like I gave them the same name either. Honestly. They are Bencor, Robert Benjamin, and Bernard. Now the reason I never noticed this was because I have Bernard go by Beans. So imagine my astonishment when I showed a friend him and she asked why his name was Beans and not Ben. It was a pretty weird moment for me...and it gets even weirder. I'll draw them together and explain why when I finally post it.
So I'm going to get back to my dubstepping now.
I figured out why none of my picks have made it into the final count. Its because I'm old. I was around during the time when Spike, Vash, and Kenshin were HUGELY popular. I didn't see the big deal in Edward Elric, even though the story was a brilliant idea, the way they executed it was not my cup of tea. Especially with all the short jokes.
I must admit though, that I do like Death Note. It was a very brilliant piece of work. BUT, I thought the more brilliantly thought out character was Light, not L. Light brings up an excellent issue with the world and criminals today, and L is just a detective assigned to find him and *SPOILER* he dies. Woo. What a great character. I mean, I expect Light to eventually die too, but thats because of how the story is just laid out. I actually enjoy it more when a main character dies. It makes for an ending that is memorable and usually unexpected.
The only one from my time that is still up there is Sailor Moon. Now...I don't mean to sound ungrateful about it...but...what in the world makes her a great character? She is a generic high school girl with a crush on a boy. She makes friends, she fights some rather interesting looking people, and she gets half naked when she "transforms". The only really great part about it was the fact that two of the sailor scouts were together. Thats about it.
And I have absolutely no idea who Lelouch is. Can someone help me with that one? I honestly have no idea.
Ya...so...its windy...really windy...I don't know why the call Chicago the windy city because Iowa is A LOT more windy than Chicago. I mean really. I can say that too. Because I've been to Chicago...many times...and it is not as bad as here. Really. And the wind almost took my door off my car. I was very very mad. No one hurts my car.
On a different note, I just got back from Ames. Good times were had, chicken parmesan was made, and I finally got to see The Book of Eli. It was a fairly good movie, I must say. Didn't make it into my top ten, but still pretty close. Hopefully things calm down now, and I can relax and get some work around the house done...so fun...
So, I'm putting the stuff from Uni away in my room...and its a mess. Why is it that every time I try to clean my room, my starts to look messier while I'm doing it. Its a never ending mess! SCIENCE! ...I don't know where that came from. But the good news is I have a desk again! The crap that had taken it over is no more. Good bye dust that I am allergic to, hello desk that I can actually work at!
So, I decided to do this PoPiPo or PiPoPi or PiPiPoPi or whatever its called contest. Being a good and correct person, I actually looked up what they were talking about since I had no idea being old and all. I purely signed up for the contest because I love making my characters dance. I'm sadistic like that. So I look up this song...it is so repetitive. And now I have had it stuck in my head all day. I was mowing the lawn at work with it stuck in my head. And the dance! Good god, I have never seen one dance move be repeated so many times! Needless to say, after enduring that all day. I have exactly what I'm going to draw in my head. Yay me!
