Story Ideas

I wonder how long I'll be on the topic of stories in this world. wowIgotzerofeedbackonmylaststorysoeithernoonelikeditornoonecares Friday I'll probably talk about these self control methods I saw somewhere.

Anyways....
I used to write a lot of short stories when I was small. But even when I stopped I always had these different stories and characters in my head; I just never wrote them down. Over winter break I was gonna start a new one but I couldn't decide between these two that I've been thinking about for a while:
1. A girl lives in the early 1900s or late 1800s and has a very tragic life but she's still very cheerful somehow. Then she gets murdered. But before she goes to the afterlife or whatever happens after death, she defies all logic and goes back to the world of the living to find the happiness she never had in her life. When she returns she ends up in the 21st century. She lives with a woman and her younger brother whose parents died recently. The girl turns both of their lives around and helps pull the boy out of his depression while learning new things about the world herself.

2. (This one is less developed) A guy has special powers (kinda like the Deviants in the story I shared) and he lives in a nation with people that are like him. They don't really interact with normal people. The "deviant" nation (I'll just call them that for now) decides they want to take over the "normal" nation. So they experiment on this guy and find a way to turn him into a normal person. They then send him to secretly infiltrate a private place in the normal nation. He becomes frustrated with his new body and tries to turn himself back. While some of his abilities are enhanced, he fails and by now the normal people are aware of the plot and chaos breaks out.

I'm not sure which story I like better but both of them still need some work.
