I arrived in Tennessee! Safe and sound. Now its the long arduous process of unloading, re-sorting and re-organizing all of my stuff to see if there are a couple things I forgot. I already know I forgot my dog's favorite toy, and I feel really bad about that. One coffee mug broke in transit, and I think I could hear Kat's soul cry out through The Force.
But other than that, Im all good. I wanted to let you all know. Dickson, Tennessee is my new home for the foreseeable future. My heart will always belong up north, in Kenosha, Wisconsin, and the surrounding Chicago area. Its where Im from, where my family and most of my friends live. I know Ill return there someday to visit, and it'll feel like I never left.
Oh yeah, its 60 degrees today. And Ill never have to worry about serious snow again. That is one thing I will never miss.
