“Mrs. Manes will you pleas introduce your self to the
others “ my first period teacher Mrs. Kimbly said to me
I got up and one of the other kids said “Hey why dose
she have to introduce her self to everybody but we
don’t?” “Because she’s a transfer student that’s why.” she said
to the student “ok tell us your name and where you used to live.” I officially
hated this teacher ‘um.. My name is Griselda …and I’m from New York.”
I said as I looked at my desk I could feel the blood still rushing to
my face “Hmmm we have a New Yorker. This should be an interesting year
for you.” “What’s that supposed to mean.” I said angrily scowling the teacher
“What I mean is that it will be different for you that’s all you don’t
have to get offended by it Griselda.” The teacher said to me as I sat down
in my seat “Ok kids first thing I want you to do is to get to know each other.”
I got up again and went by Demetri and Sam “heh this teacher is messed I
mean why do you automatically have to get up and tell us anything just because
your an exchange student” Demetri said to me “Demetri I’m not an exchange student
I’m just new here.” I corrected him since an exchange student doesn’t stay
they just visit “R-really then why did she say---” “Because she didn’t know
Herself ” I said cutting him off “Oh well that’s good” he said with relief it was
either me or he kept getting closer to me “Yah if she really was an exchange student
she wouldn’t end up staying.” Sam said to Demetri I was looking at
Sam when I felt something go around my waist and pull me and then I seen it
was Demetri “Hey let go of her!” a voice said I turned around and it was my
cousin Zackarious who I haven’t seen since I was ten “Zack .”
“Did you not here me let go of my cousin.” Zack pulled on Demetri’s
arm that was around my waist “Zack it’s all right he’s not going to do
anything to me” I said to try to calm him down it worked he let
go of Demetri’s arm but I sensed that him and Demetri wont be
getting along anytime soon “Who are you?” Zack asked
Demetri “I’m her new boyfriend.” Demetri said plainly I was
blushing now and I wouldn’t look Zack in the eyes
I wasn’t even going to look near him
