"Venus Power, Make-Up!" I exclaimed, thrusting the pen into the air.
Stars surrounded me and my clothes suddenly transformed. I looked down in surprise. I was now wearing a sailor uniform! The skirt was orange with a yellow bow tying in the back. White gloves up to my elbows now covered my hands with two orange bands bordering the end of the gloves. A blue bow with a yellow button in the center was on front of the costume as well. I had on orange high heels, an orange choker with a star on it, a tiara, and a red bow in my hair.
"What is this?!" I wondered out loud. I heard a scream from across the street and saw the red haired girl I was with from earlier screaming. A monster was chasing her and another girl. I began making my way over, but one of the disfigured beasts landed in front of me.
"A sailor scout," it sneered, teeth yellow and crooked. I wrinkled my nose in disgust, but my expression quickly turned to one of fear as the thing approached me.
It leered over me for a moment before lunging in to attack. I let out a shriek, but suddenly I felt a warm light encircle me and words popped into my mind. I held my right arm out straight, my left arm bent and resting on my right arm's elbow.
Pointing my finger at the monster, I yelled, "Crescent Beam!"
Beams of light trailed from my extended finger, in the pattern of stars. It beat the monster back and it soon dissolved into nothing on the ground. I smirked triumphantly, but my insides were in turmoil. The same questions kept popping up in my mind.
What the heck were those things? What was I? Why was I here? What was I wearing?
Unfortunately, there was no time to ponder on questions I couldn't get answers to at the moment. More monsters were surrounding me, and I knew I was going to be hurt-or worse- soon. One of the creatures swung an arm and brought me tumbling to the floor.
Black spots danced across my eyes as I saw the beast above me grin with satisfaction. The things around him mirrored his expression and I found my anger rising. I was hit again and more of my vision darkened.
Venus Love... a voice from inside my head told me.
What? I thought mentally, What was "Venus Love" supposed to mean?
Venus Love... it repeated.
I didn't understand what my conscious was trying to tell me, but I used the last of my energy to get up from the floor and shot the words being fed into my mind.
"Venus Love..." I started, but no words came to me. "Venus Love!" I repeated. "Venus Love, Venus Love, Venus Love!"
On the last repetition the last two pieces of the puzzle clicked together, and I realized with a start that it was a different attack. I had two attacks! How cool was that?!
"Venus Love-Me Chain!" I shouted into the air, a whip made of hearts appearing in my hand.
I easily sliced through the monsters surrounding me, and kept that at bay for a while. My powers were starting to wear me out, but I kept persisting. Not only for my sake, but for the others like me. The innocent bystanders who probably couldn't see a thing happening here, let alone believe it. And most of all myself.
I would not lose!
