A Gain and Loss of Hours

I really can't manage to go easy on myself, can I?

If you'll remember from my last post, I was pretty stressed out about my schedule, but then I dropped a class. Thus I gained many hours because I didn't have to do that ridiculous homework. But then I got a second job. It was kind of a fluke, actually. I had signed up for volunteer work but I ended up getting hired. Not that I mind the extra income or finally getting back into a department that I really enjoy working in (it's the drama dept. by the way). But there goes all my extra hours....And with this job, I'm now working at the max hours allowed while still in school.

We'll see how this goes.

2 Player Co-op

A guy I know wrote/composed/performed a video game love song. It's pretty dang awesome and I wanted to share it with everyone. You can go buy it on itunes--I have. Check it out!

Changes

Now that the school year has started up again, I'm beginning to realize that I need to make some adjustments for this year.

1) Learn to cook. (Ung. I hate cooking).
2) Don't take a shower until AFTER P.E.
3) Don't look at the time after 8pm. It'll stress me out.
4) Don't even hope for a decent amount of sleep.

I've decided to adopt this song as my theme for the year as well.

2nd Week

So while driving to pick up my brother today, there was a commercial on the radio for beef. One of the things they highlighted about their beef was that the cows had had strictly vegetarian diets. Either the beef industry is becoming more honest or the general public is learning more about what happens to cows. I hope it's both.

Speaking of my brother, we've been watching Tsubasa together lately. Surprisingly he likes it. I don't think anime is exactly his thing but he says Tsubasa is creative. It's fun to do something together, since our interests are pretty different otherwise.

This week is going by slowly. Been watching a lot of Tsubasa out of boredom. I spent most of today working on a cosplay accessory and I'm more or less done with that. I probably should be looking for a wedding gift for my friend. Did I mention my friend is getting married? She's getting married. Next week. It's...a weird feeling. I've never met her fiance either and only learned his name when I got the wedding invitation. Maybe I should be worried but I'm not, as it were.

I chatted with some friends that I hadn't seen in a while. Well, I'm not sure if you'd call them friends. Things sort of...fell through with both of them. It was a little awkward to talk to them but it's strange how easily we could slip into our old roles again.

Watched guys from my school sing on national television last night. That was pretty awesome. They were really good and I was so proud of them. I mean, it's one thing to just be amazing in general but being amazing on national television--that's something else entirely!

Summer Cram

Why does everything that usually happens through the summer end up being crammed all into August? Every year, I'm telling ya....Vacations, more sports, work --> August.

The end of July wasn't too bad though. It was my birthday on the 22nd. My brother had a tournament that day so he and my dad were off doing baseball. That was a bummer. Because of that my birthday was drawn out into two days. We went and saw the real Avatar (or The Last Airbender, whatever) movie. I really enjoyed it. Although I have a tendancy to like movies that everyone else hates. Another large highlight was meeting some drunk woman from across half a room, who was also having a birthday. That was pretty funny.

Let's see....My brother fractured his hand. It happened while he was stealing to second. It's a little bit of a downer because he doesn't get to play in the last two games of the season and he was a hit away from reaching a 300 statistic, which was his goal this season. It's his dominant hand too. I told him he should be glad it didn't happen while he was in school otherwise he'd be screwed.

Picked up a couple of jobs. Just week long things but it's better than nothing.

Oh, I tried dying with rubbing alcohol and it turned out really well. So I'm gonna try it with the actual costume and hope for the best. Here goes nothing!

Anyway, summer's almost gone. I feel like I haven't done anything. Enjoy it while you can! Carpe dium! Or something like that.

Till next time.
