True to me Chapter 2: Enter Torai!

These two eggs we're peculiar indeed. I had no clue what to do with them... not at all. I just woke up, with nothing but breakfast on my mind. They were eggs, I couldn't resist! I gave it a lick, good. I started licking it all over until I heard high pitched scream. "STOP!!!" yelled a rather adorable voice. Suddenly, the egg broke! I panicked, but before I could say anything, a small chibi-like sprite came out. "Whoa whoa whoa buddy! Don't go eating your guardian character now!" he exclaimed. "Wha...? You were in an egg a second ago! Who are you? No, scratch that. What are you??" "I'm your guardian character! The name's Torai! Nice to meet ya Naiko!" He smiled from ear to ear, he seemed friendly... but then again, was I supposed to trust tiny egg people? Maybe I should just ditch him when we land or something. "Don't try and to do that now. Naiko, you and I are attached." he said. "What!?" I said in surprise. He read my mind! "Ok, you are obviously confused... let me explain." he said calmly. I wanted to listen... I think I'm losing it. "I'm your guardian character, Tor-" I cut him off. "What's a guardian character?" "Hold your horses! I'm getting there!" he snapped back. "To put it simply, a guardian character is the you, you want to be." "The me I want to be..?" I echoed. "Yes. Anyways, guardian characters are born from an egg, as you saw, in the heart." I was sort of lost... I didn't know what he meant by an egg inside my heart, but I intended to hear this madness through. "Everyone has a guardian character. Some have more then one, like you for example." He gestured to the other egg. I looked at it curiously. I held the other egg tenderly and held it too my heart. Maybe this all was crazy... but its a good crazy, and its something I've been praying for. I've always wanted adventure in my life, something supernatural. Maybe this was my ticket to the world of my dreams. "Naiko...?" "HUH? WHAT?" my mom interrupted my daydream. "What are those eggs...? They don't even look normal." I panicked, I had completely forgotten I was on a plane with other people possibly seeing the two eggs and Torai. "I-I-I..." I couldn't speak, I couldn't think of an excuse. Then suddenly, Torai whispered something in my ear. "The eggs are souvenirs! Say that!" I whispered under my breath. "Gotcha." I turned to mom, I was still nervous and sweaty. "M-Mom, they're souvenirs!" "Oh. Why didn't you say so Naiko?" "S-Sorry..." "Not a problem." she dipped into the pocket attached to the seat in front of her and lifted a magazine. Air Shop. She wanted to buy something...? Well, it got her off my back for a while.

For the remainder of the plane ride, I whispered too Torai questions I had about guardian characters. Hey explained in reasonable detail about a lot of things, but the most intriguing thing was character change! Supposedly, you can tap into your guardian character's power and gain combat abilities... I find this so cool! I also found out that normal people can't see guardian characters. Only those who have them can see them... so there was no danger in having Torai out of his egg. I was a little overwhelmed... this was all so new and exciting!

The final few hours seemed to pass by so quickly, there was so much to talk about will my new little friend. When we had to exit the airplane, I asked Torai to get back in his egg, and gently put Torai and the other egg into my backpack. It was a very long hour and a half though, because I couldn't talk to Torai or else it would make me look like a lunatic. Then again, maybe I am a lunatic for believing this. Knowing me, this is probably all just a dream... but its a dream I'd rather not wake up from. So who cares about that? Anyways, I was very happy to get in our taxi and head off too our new house. The house was in the Kanto region. It was a small two story building. It had plenty of room for me and my mom. My room was in secluded area, being the creepy (and one) room at the end of the hall. It was eerie, but I liked it. I went to bed very early, I was tired form my flight and all the jet lag. I fell on my bed and went to sleep as soon as I made contact.

I woke at 7 am, and school started in 15 minutes! I transfered to Seiyo Elementary, the closest school to my house. I got up, got dressed, and ran out the door. I skipped breakfast because I knew I was going to be late. I saw a lot of students running too, I guess they were late for the new semester too. I suppose its not the best way of start of the school, but oh well. I asked which was the school was from here to a younger girl with pigtails. "Take a right at the next light and you'll get there no problem!" she was very cheery, but sounded a younger then her age. I guess I was just imagining it. When i came at the light, I tried to stop. Instead, I slid on the pavement and banged my head against the pavement. I blacked out for a few minutes. I got up, rubbing my head. Then when I recovered my senses, I yelled: "CRAP!" I had to get to school! I needed to go, but I had 5 minutes, it looks like I wouldn't get there in time. I sat on a bench and rubbed my head some more. Then, out of no where, I heard a high pitched voice. Torai! I searched in my backpack and released him from his egg. "Huff...Huff..." he was breathing hard. "I... have an idea... character... change!" "Thats right! Lets do it Torai!" I said "character change!" and I felt like I unlocked a new power that was deep inside of me. Suddenly, I felt fit, strong. Ready to run. I reached amazing speeds as my brown hair was almost flying off my head. I made it in 3 minutes. Few! "Thanks Torai!" he gave me a thumbs up. "Have a great day Naiko! Just call if you need me!" "I will!" I was convinced that Torai was here to help me. He was really my guardian angel, er, character.

Seiyo Elemntary! It was big, looming... intimidating. I took a deep breath, and marched in. Proud and confident, I was ready for the new challenges.
