Chapter 4;

In the morning Nium woke up and walked out into the desert, he searched through his bags and took out pans, meat, and some plants. As he set up for cooking ovver his fire, Reny walked out of the tent holding her teddy bear and yawning. Nium waved his cousin over and sat her down on a bag. She dropped her teddy bear and rubbed her eyes then picked up her bear again, it looked as though she had gotten used to her life with one arm.

Nium finished cooking the food and filled up two plates. He sat down next to Reny and put the plate on her lap. Nium had cut up all her meat into bite size peices. He took her teddy bear and set it out of the sand, then handed her a fork and they started to eat. He wiped of the dirty plates and put them away as Reny started to help pack up the camp, she took all of the stuff out of the tent and with difficulty put them in there respective bags.

Having the tent packed and the fire put out, Nium proceeded to tie everything up so it would be easier to carry. when he looked around, Reny was throwing rocks into the sand. He called her over and they started to walk again.

After an hour or so, Reny started to fall asleep, the walking had taken it out of her. Nium picked her up and set her on the top of the luggage, it was about the size of a chair. Reny fell asleep while holding onto a fold in the front of Niums shirt.

After walking for a while longer, the trees what seemed like suddenly were right in front of him. He walked into the forest and followed it for about ten minute before he found a river. After setting his pack down, he reached around and woke up Reny by telling her that they were by water. Reny woke up and she started running around in the river with her swimming clothes on; Nium had packed what he thought she would need, he's not good with girls.

After drying Reny off and washing their dirty clothes and dishes, Nium set up a tent and took wood off the trees for fire, he had burned dry wood they found in the desert for the fire the night before. He looked around and saw a few small critters in the forest, but none big enough to eat. He took out a small meal from his bag and cooked dinner for him and his cousin.

That night, when Reny fell asleep, Nium thought that something was strange, so he went to look around. He walked past the river on a ways and he started to see larger animals. After ten minutes of walking, he started to hear noises and slowed down his walking. Hiding behind one of the trees, he looked around it and saw three people around a campfire talking, each seemed five or so years older than him.Nium walked back to his camp and went to sleep thinking that what he saw was a figment of his imagination, there was no way that people were living around here.
