Dream comics

Hey guys! I have today off, and yesterday was a half day (okay, we got out three hours earlier, so it was more of a 2/3rds day, but we call it a half day), so we have a long weekend, which is excellent. The other day at lunch somebody gave me and my friends free pizza, and that was excellent too.
Anyway, what I really wanted to tell you about was the dream I had last night. Sometimes I have these dreams where something happens, then I "wake up" in the dream and I'm like, "hey, that dream I had would be an awesome comic book!" Then I wake up for real, and I realize it would actually make a stupid comic. So last night I had a dream like that. I dreamed one of my old OCs, Tony, had a crush on Gogo from Big Hero 6, and, like, she really wanted a pet, so he turned himself into a cat. She thought he was a really cute cat and they went everywhere together, and then one day he accidentally turned back into a boy, and she was kinda freaked out. And then dream-me was like, "What a great idea!" Then I woke up, and actually-awake me though, "That doesn't make any sense. Tony can't change himself into a cat".
I kept thinking about the dream, though, and I decided if I changed the characters, it would actually be a really cute story. It's funny, most of my stories I have to work and rework until they seem good to me, but this story came to me almost finished. I've come up with the main characters already. The girl is named Kitty, she's kind of nerdy and lonely (and totally NOT based on me, I don't know WHY you would think that ), and her closest friend is a cat that she found when she was a little girl. She named him Ash, and he follows her everywhere. But it turns out Ash is a skinchanger, and he's in love with Kitty.
I haven't decided where to go from there, but I though it would be fun to take a break from Kagamure (which I'm having trouble with) and do something different. This is going to be cute and silly, and have more of a manga style to it. I mean, Kagamure has manga-like elements, but it's equally influenced by mainstream American comics and a bunch of other things. It's manga-like to the extent that my art as a whole is manga-like, but I didn't deliberately set out to make it seem like a Japanese comic. Know what I mean? I want to try something different and do, like a rom-com shojo manga. I don't know a whole lot about shojo (shonen was always more my thing, and lately seinen), but I've been reading a lot of shojo on TheO lately and I want to try my hand at it.
Hope everyone else is having a nice Friday
Catch you later,
-Lina
