Sheek awoke to darkness and a throbbing head from when she was hit back in the alleyway. She hadn't had her eyes gouged out, and that was good, but something was wrapped around her head, preventing her sight. The feel of it wasn't fabric, so it obviously wasn't a blindfold. It seemed more like... plastic, but she wasn't sure. She tried to move her hands to touch what was over her eyes, but she found them to be bound tightly with metal behind her back. She attempted to separate her legs, but they were tied together, too. She cursed.
Where am I? she asked herself, sniffing the air. The scent was clean and fresh that had more or less of an earthy tone to it, with slight humidity. She wasn't outside, though; that would pose too many threats of her escaping. The floor she was seated on was hard and even, made of either metal or stone. The room was also square and average-sized, she assumed. There may or may not be walls on each side, with a door invisible to her.
Her tail thumped nervously against the floor. It didn't create a metallic tink that echoed back, so she determined she was on a stone floor. "Hello!" Sheek called out, wondering if her assailants were monitoring her with audio machines or video cameras. "Will anyone be nice enough to tell me where I am? Or why I was captured?" She waited for a response. As she expected, there was nothing but silence. The people watching her must be laughing pretty hard at her right now.
Several times she tried to wriggle out of her bonds, but she usually ended up irritating the skin on her wrists and ankles. Eventually she gave up and attempted to doze off. Unfortunately, that wasn't going to happen either. Her positions were too uncomfortable, and the aching of her head wouldn't ease no matter what she tried. These people were seriously going to pay when she had the chance.
Suddenly an idea popped into her mind. She could sent out a wave of electricity to cause some mechanical malfunctions, and perhaps even reach far enough to act as a call for help. She chuckled, and began charging all of her power. The air around her began to change, and she knew that she was creating an electromagnetic field around her. Still, she did not move, and felt her body swelling with electric energy.
Sheek had been charging herself for an hour now, and she felt like she was ready to blow. The soft humming of the electromagnetic field had now increased to a deafening volume, and every now and then there would be a loud crack from tiny bolt of lightning speeding between groups of dense air particles. She was ready to fire on the count of three.
One.
There was a crack of another lightning bolt, more violent-sounding than the ones before it.
Two.
The electromagnetic field was roaring like a lion being held up to a megaphone now, and someone was bound to enter the chamber soon to check on her.
Two and a half...
She could feel that her hair was as straight as a line, and her ears were flat against her head. Her tail smacked the ground at a blinding speed. The clothes she wore were beginning to feel suffocating. She couldn't hold it in anymore.
Three!
With a scream, she released a colossal energy wave throbbing with electrons from her body. She felt it traveling right through the walls of the building, and loud pops and shrieking metal met her ears. She laughed, almost like a child does when it sees a hilarious circus act, knowing machines were short-circuiting and dropping like flies. She could only hope the pulse could reach far enough for someone to feel.
Sheek smiled to herself as exhaustion set in, and she collapsed to the ground, gratefully welcoming sleep before the first bounty hunter could reach her cell.
