the unexpected happened again

that's my grandfather dealing with the flood...

IS THERE ANYONE WILLING TO SHIP ME AN EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE????? OR MAYBE A NEW LAPTOP????? SERIOUSLY...

March 8, Thursday, 2am, it was very early and my grandmother woke me up. I was surprised to see that there flood all over the place.... I was really awake because of that. I suddenly thought of my stuff, especially the very important ones. The flood reached until my hip, it was really high (considering fact that we're inside the house). And I was even more surprised to know that a lot of our things got wet by that flood.... including my laptop!

I panicked. I had a lot of important files. I won't be having an external hard drive until May when my father will buy me a DSLR camera (required this second year). I just cried. And we let it dry so we can bring it to the service center.

While my laptop is unavailable, my availability to my classmates was also gone for a while. They couldn't contact me via FB unless I go to an internet cafe. We had a group reporting last Saturday and this Monday was our thesis defense. My groupmates can't contact me and I was worried that I might screw up at the presentations. Good thing the report last Saturday was moved this coming Saturday. And our thesis defense went well (despite the shortcomings).

Earlier we went to the service center. I did not open my laptop since Thursday so I was glad my laptop is still working :) Bad news is that fixing this is not covered by the warranty so you have to buy the parts if ever (more like you bought a new laptop). Some parts in my laptop are beginning to form rust and this laptop of mine will no longer last. It hasn't even been one year ever since I bought this shit (May 2011).

So I bought a 16GB USB to backup some of my important files. It's not enough. I still have to buy that hard drive but it's fucking expensiveeeee. At least, this laptop will be of use to me until the end of this semester. :)
