This Makes NO Sense

After no one said something for a few moments I laughed. “A fallen angel, and hey, weren’t you the one who bumped into me before when I dropped stuff?” I said. He nodded. “You actually expect me to believe in angels? Demons yeah, but angels?”

“They do exist, I’m standing right on front of you.” Kuro said.

“Isn’t a fallen angel and a demon the same thing?” I asked.

“No. They aren’t.” He said.

“Far from it actually.” Ryuu said.

“Fallen angels get their wings ripped out and thrown down to earth to wander for eternity.”

“So everyone has like a guardian angel?” I asked semi not getting what was said to me.

“I guess you can say that. A fallen angel can become an angel again, they just have to find a human they have to protect and somehow they become that person’s guardian angel.” Kuro explained. I smiled sweetly.

“Well I’m sorry, but I don’t believe in them because I know I don’t have one.” I said.

“You never know.” Kuro spoke again.

“Would my life be like it is if I had one? A dad pretty much dead to me and a mom who acts like I’m not there three quarters of the time, moving around and wondering if I’ll ever stay in one place long enough to make and keep friends?” I said bitterly. It was true. This whole angel thing had really affected me and I had no idea why.

“What do you have here? Look around you Rina. You have friends. No matter where you go they’re always with you.” Kuro said.

“I…I…” I stuttered.

“Friends can be your guardian angels even if they don’t have wings.” He continued.

“Fine, I’ll buy that. But actual angels and stuff? I believe in demons and ghosts, but still… angels? Maybe I should believe in pixies and unicorns too.” I said as I continued to not make eye contact with anyone.

“Maybe you should…you never know.” Kuro smiled.

“Yeah yeah, maybe…” I said still not convinced.

“Just think about it.” He said. I looked around and really saw what was happening. My eyes widened.

“Where are we?!” I exclaimed.

“Beats me really. The spell changed when it was deflected.” Kuro shrugged.

“The spell? Oh man, now magic too? Like pixie dust?” I laughed.

“There are a lot of things in this world that you have to open your mind to Rina.” Kuro said not laughing.

“Put a spell on me then.” I grinned.

“Why?”

“Well if you can’t do it then fine.”

“I can but there’s no point.”

“I don’t believe you.” I looked at the rest of the group. “Do any of you?”

“He got us here. And I’m quite sure he was an angel.” Ryuu defended. I blushed brightly. “Usually the only way you can tell is by the scars on their back. My mother told me that when I was little.”

“I see…” I looked down. I felt cornered.

“Try not to judge things before you get to know them.” Kuro crossed his arms.

“I usually don’t but this is insane! I-I want to go home and I’m really confused and actually to be honest, I’m scared.” I said.

“I can’t get us home for a bit. So get to know everyone.” I didn’t say anything. I just folded my arms and walked into the house.
