Churchill Downs Incorporated (CDI) has completed a previous purchase of the Chasers Poker Room in Salem, New Hampshire. The purchase of Chasers was made following the approval of the transaction by the New Hampshire Lottery Commission.
Offering poker and a variety of table games, the Chasers are located about 30 minutes from downtown Boston. CDI plans to build an expanded charity gaming facility in Salem with up to 800 gaming locations, including historic racing machines (HRMs) and table games. CDI expects its total investment in Salem to be around $150 million, including the purchase price.

New Hampshire will be the fourth state where the CDI will run historic horse racing. The CDI currently operates HRM in Kentucky and Louisiana. The CDI will also operate HRM in Virginia at a time when its acquisition of Peninsula Pacific Entertainment is pending.
