GS Caltex Farewell With Head Coach Cha Sang-hyun

Women's professional volleyball GS Caltex parted ways with manager Cha Sang-hyun.

Shortly after the final regular season match with Heungkuk Life Insurance on the 15th, GS Caltex announced, "We discussed the team's future with manager Cha Sang-hyun, who has led the team for a long time and has been in the strong team ranks, and decided not to renew the contract after much consideration for each other's development."

It is the end of an eight-year partnership. Cha assumed the leadership of GS Caltex during the season in December 2016. He gained trust from players and the club with his powerful charisma on the court along with his flexible communication skills.

During Cha's tenure, GS Caltex achieved the first treble in women's professional volleyball history (triple crown). It ranked first in the cup competition, championship game and regular league in the 2020-2021 season. 안전 토토사이트

GS Caltex made good progress until the first half of this season, but fell into a slump in the second half. In the final game of this season against Heungkuk Life Insurance, it completely lost 0-3 in the set score, recording 18 wins and 18 losses (51 points) to finish the season in the fourth place. It failed to advance to the post season.

Coach Cha said goodbye, "I am truly grateful to the fans and the club for their constant support even in difficult situations."
