Holding FIBA 3x3 Challenger for 4 Consecutive Years

The Korea 3x3 Basketball Federation (KXO) will expand to the world by attracting domestic competitions.

KXO has officially announced that it will hold the FIBA 3x3 Challenger for four consecutive years until 2026 in Korea. KXO (Korea 3x3 Basketball Federation), which has been steadily working to develop 3x3 in Korea since its foundation in 2019, hosted the FIBA 3x3 Hongcheon Challenger 2023, the only 3x3 international competition in Korea last year. Through this, it has also contributed to improving the quality of Korea's 3x3 by attracting sponsors of NH Nonghyup Bank and KBSN live broadcasting.

KXO, which judged that steady participation and attraction of international competitions are important for Korea's 3x3 to develop properly, has held continuous consultations with FIBA (International Basketball Federation) since last year, and finally agreed to hold "FIBA 3x3 Challenger" in a row until 2026.

It is significant that FIBA 3x3 Challenger will be held in Korea continuously until 2026. South Korea, which has always stayed on the periphery on the international stage due to lack of experience in international competitions, will be able to gain great strength in securing FIBA 3x3 national ranking points as well as improving the experience of international competitions through continuous challengers held in Korea.

In particular, KXO has also prepared various measures to give as many points as possible to 3x3 players in Korea by holding consecutive FIBA 3x3 Challengers and improving the level of the KXO League's competition and securing light quest tickets that qualify for overseas Challengers.

This is also the will to secure as many points as possible this year with KXO's efforts to play in the FIBA 3x3 World Cup, which has not played since 2019, and to challenge to play in the FIBA 3x3 World Cup in 2025.

KXO Director Song Tae-hoon said, "It is very meaningful that FIBA 3x3 Challenger will be held continuously in Korea. It is not that FIBA 3x3 Challenger has not been held in Korea, but it is also true that it did not help Korea's 3x3 development because it ended as a one-off event. There was always a regret about that, but fortunately, the consultation with FIBA has progressed well, making it possible to hold FIBA 3x3 Challenger in Korea every year until 2026. This will certainly serve as an opportunity for Korea's 3x3 to take another leap forward. The FIBA 3x3 Hongcheon Challenger 2024 is scheduled to be held in Hongcheon-gun, Gangwon State, for two days on May 11 and 12, and we will try to make Korea an axis of Asia 3x3 by successfully holding this competition." 메이저 토토사이트

KXO, which is scheduled to hold the Challenger in the second half of the year as well as this year's Hongcheon Challenger, is scheduled to start its schedule in 2024, earlier than usual, from January 27 to digest the international competition.
