Any thread that produces results like Sasuke vs. Batman is just fine by me. In the words of the first poster, onenuttytanuki, it might be getting into "weird fan fic territory," but the results so far are really amusing. (L vs. the Scooby Doo kids!?)

Which series grabbed you from the start?
An oldie but a goodie, and I'm pretty sure I haven't posted it here before (*crosses fingers*). What it really makes me curious about, though, is why we keep watching anime that don't grab us from the start. Some of the most rewarding shows I've seen didn't do much to capture me until they were practically over. But when I think back to them and how awesome they ended up being, I still have a hard time remembering what kept me going early on.

Death Note Movie (live action) has been given a limited theater release in May 2008.
Anyone planning on trying to see this? Personally, I dunno--I love Death Note and all, but somehow I always got the sense that the trailers alone would be more than enough to satisfy me in the live-action (plus CG Ryuk) department. I suppose I'll see if the promo that's supposed to run in front of Iron Man does anything extra to really inspire me.
