Struggle

Yes...at the start...I truly didn't want to harm Anamx...but the longer I fought him...the greater strain I was put under. It wasn't hard on my skill...or my level of power...but harder to stop myself from fighting him seriously. Harder to hold back my sword. Yet Marlex kept a close eye on me...every time I had an opening...every SINGLE time...he would use his wind to blow Anamx JUST out of Range. I was really getting irritated.

"Marlex!" I growled when I fell back. "If I don't get a hit...this will never end...I don't WANT to hurt him...but he isn't someone to take LIGHTLY!" I lectured. "We have to harm him...to SAVE him...what part of that don't you understand!"

"You said we wouldn't have to hurt him...RaXi you said..." Marlex countered.

"I never said that, I only said I wouldn't ask YOU to do it...and in the beginning...I thought he would be much weaker than this." I conveyed. "We've been attempting to bring him down MUCH longer than I would EVER spend on an opponent. Therefore...I've come to the conclusion that there is no other way to help him...but to harm him. Don't worry...I won't kill him or cause him major damage...it'll be quick..."

"I won't let you." Marlex stated flatly, a look of determination plastered on his face.

I glared at him from the side, slowly turning my face to meet his. In a quick motion, I grabbed him by the scruff of his collar and threw him away. He flew several feet, colliding with the rear wall, and falling to his knees. He attempted to get up immediately, but I sealed his feet to the ground with the ice I'd surrounded the entire room with.

"RAXI!!!" He screamed, I put up a wall behind me...sealing him efficiently on the other side. It was just me and Anamx now.

"You'll only hinder me now Marlex...just stay out of my way if you know what's good for you." I stated, staring at the emotionless Anamx. He'd done things I never imagined from him. Forming weapons of all varieties...and using them all against us. Mainly as long range weapons...he tried to keep us back...but I had a feeling he was just as much of a threat up close. It was time to test this theory...

Rushing in quickly, I held my sword ready for a forward thrust. As expected...he avoided it. I turned in a horizontal slash...followed by a quick vertical....but it was no use...he avoided them all...his eyes glowing an obscenely vivid pink now. As we neared the rear wall, I waited for the right moment...continuing my assault...I waited until he raised his arm in an attempt to summon more weapons. I returned my sword and using my concealed knives, I pinned his cloak to the wall. Then, I came in with my fist...just praying I could knock him out with one hit. I hesitated in that moment...and then his sketchbook took the hit...it was hard...causing my knuckles to crack with shock...I could feel the blood trickle down as I pulled back. I attempted to grab it...but immediately felt an odd tingling...a warning NOT to touch it....like it would absorb me...I fell back once more.

Watching Anamx closely as he pulled his cloak free, he seemed slightly unnerved...just slightly. Taking his sketchbook he opened it and began to sketch quickly. I couldn't let him do that! I charged forward but found myself to be far too late...he vanished and we were no longer in the white room of the mansion...no...I now stood before the huge Skyscraper in The World that Never Was... The very site of the showdown between Riku and Roxas.

Feeling a sudden threat from above, I looked up quickly to find hundreds of swords cascading down the side of the scraper...all targeting me. There was no time to avoid them, throwing up a box of ice around myself, I waited as they were all deflected. Then, following the path they had come from...I ran up the side of the building...finding Anamx at the top. I didn't see his sketchbook...instead...he held a sword. Drawing out my own...we battled. He wasn't terrific with his blade...I was sure I could overpower him...yet...I found myself hesitating...every opening I had would be a fatal blow to him...this fight...Anamx held the advantage...he was truly trying to kill me...while I...well I could NOT kill him. If I did...Marlex would never forgive me.

Anamx came down at me with a vertical slash...and I MADE this my opportunity. I hit his sword back in a hard parry...so hard he lost his balance temporarily. Immediately, I formed a small spire of ice round my hand...piercing Anamx's left shoulder. He didn't groan or whine at all, just stayed totally without emotion...and then...I realized...he'd hit me too....

My vision blurred and I looked down slowly...his hand was in my chest...all the way in the cavity where my heart should be...had I been human...this would be...fatal...

This...wouldn't have happened...had I...aimed to kill...My mind drifted. But he...abandoned his blade...no warrior does that...I pulled my hand from his shoulder, and he yanked his hand from my chest...bringing out something quite beautiful...a large gleaming crystal shard...

I didn't have time to see much more of it....I cascaded to the ground from the top of the skyscraper...and very soon...made contact. A hard smash...causing a pretty good sized crater...I did not lose consciousness. My vision blurred in and out...I felt a memory return...one I didn't have time to remember...I could feel my blood draining...flooding my cloak...and then I heard a voice....

"You Idiot...if you didn't have me...you'd be dead right now..."

"I won't DIE!" I shouted clumsily rising to my feet. My breaths were rugged...and blood poured from my wound... Anamx landed perfectly before me...at the edge of the crater. He didn't move in for a final strike...he just stood there staring at me...Looking...I could see the crystal in his hand. He saw me look at it...looked at it himself...then threw it to the ground. It shattered to dust...and as a slight breeze approached...it blew past my face....and off into the unknown.

"You know..." I huffed..." You're really starting to piss me off...you should just...hurry and snap out of it....before I really DO kill you Anamx..."

He was silent. His eyes were gold again...what was going on!

Taking a deep breath I stood up. This was taking too long...I had to finish this... I had to...heal. Concentrating hard, I closed my eyes.

"So...you've finally figured it out...wanna wake it up?" The voice spoke to me once more.

"What?"

"Oh come on...you aren't exactly NORMAL...just do it already! Heal your damn cells Ice Queen! You didn't think they gave you that nickname for nothing did you? Your very cells are ice! IDIOT!"

"I see now...perhaps I am..." I spoke aloud. I breathed again...then concentrated on my wound...slowly...I began to repair it. Rebuilding my cells...reforming them...and making them STRONGER. She was right...I wasn't normal....not in the slightest.

Perhaps even stronger than before I was wounded...I gazed up at Anamx. "I'm sorry...I can't 'play' around anymore...prepare yourself Anamx...I won't show you any mercy."

And still...he was silent. He held no emotion whatsoever.

I took a different approach this time...shooting spires of ice at him...I watched as he dodged. Sending him a follow up...I froze all the moisture available in the air...and sent it at him. Waves upon waves of needles. I know a couple managed to pierce him...but he seemed to continue on as if he felt nothing...so...I took a final measure...

Sending the spires in order to drive him in the direction I CHOSE him to go instead of the normal chaos...I forced him back until he fell into a most deadly trap...he was caught within the 'Ice Maiden'. He had dodged...right into it's grasp. He was lucky however...this was only a tame version of the attack...if I so chose...I could skewer him alive at that very moment.

Instead, I approached, forced the Maiden to open just in time to punch him...this time without ANY resistance...it had been the dark...he was unable to see it coming before his eyes could adjust. He flew back, his sketchbook careening in the opposite direction...as it hit the ground...the area around us faded back to the white room. I looked back and found Marlex in the same place...he immediately started shouting as Anamx tried to rise from the floor...I was sure I was in for more of a fight...when he dropped. He fell unconscious. Apparently, he'd hit the ground pretty hard...

I sighed...but there was no time to relax. I was almost immediately stabbed from behind...by a strange sword.

"You may have come out victorious...but you shall never free him...especially not now Woman of Ice..." Serix whispered menacingly....

....into the ear of my doll. I snapped my fingers and the RaXi before him fell to the ground...a pile of freshly crushed ice. I stepped out from the corner. "Let me guess...you use others to channel the energy into that weapon of yours right?" I stated as I analyzed him. "Bet you're just loving all the energy you're getting off Anamx...that is what you did isn't it? If I remember correctly, you use mirrors, so that must be it. Come now...where is this little mirror of yours? Bring it here so I can break it."

"As though you could!" He scoffed. "You were nearly defeated by the child...you are no match for me..."

At this I laughed. "I wasn't NEARLY anything...do not pretend to KNOW me. You know nothing....not even my own allies know of my true capabilities...so I would hold my tongue on your presumptions."

He was quiet...but I could tell...another battle would commence very shortly. I dropped the ice holding Marlex back...and he ran for Anamx.

"If I were you Marlex...I would secure him before he wakes up..." I spoke, not taking my eyes from the man with white hair. "He's still not himself...and nothing you can do will change that...but I have a feeling...this man here has an idea on how to fix him...now don't you?"

Marlex stood up and practically began an all out charge at the man...gwan do swirling with a large wind gust. He was halted...I placed up another wall...this time...sealing Anamx and Marlex behind it. He was furious...but I didn't even give him a chance to dispute me.

"Marlex...if you CARE so much for Anamx...then you will see to HIM first!" I practically screeched. "He was your target...wasn't he? Then take him and go...you should know by now...I can take care of myself..."

He was giving me that sorrowful look of his...I could just see it...but I refused to look at him. Taking my eyes off the enemy was NOT a good idea...not this enemy....yet another without emotion...

This would be...tricky....

Hope you all liked it! Took me longer to do than I thought...had to run through a BUNCH of different scenarios! LOL--and it still ended in a part. XD *shakes head* -_-'

Kira: O_O.....wow. LOL. Next up is Serix...yet another emotionless opponent...this won't be too easy...

RaXi: Chh....like I care...at least I'm finally getting a challenge here!

Kira: HAHAHA...yeah...this time you don't have to hold back do you?

RaXi: *rolls eyes* Haven't you learnt anything yet? I hold back in ALL my fights...it leads to people underestimating me...but why waste precious time on weaklings?

Kira: *blinks* Okay...
