Order Shocks

I tightened my grip around my scythe and moved my feet back a bit wondering for a moment if they were going to attack or if they were waiting themselves. For a split second as I surveyed the area, I finally saw the door to the jail cells. Just a bit further indeed. All we had to do was get though these summons.

Suddenly I felt the air current pick up dramatically. My eyes shifted back to Volt and Sylph. Sylph was moving his hand forwards and seemed to be tracing a triangle in the air. He raised his other hand and seemed to be conduction a silent symphony with it.

“Air burst,” Sylph said sharply.

Suddenly the triage in the air seemed to explode with a current of constricted air. The pressure of the air was aimed right at Nevx who was just across from him. Neither Ranx nor I watched the effect because we both knew exactly what would happen, and just like that the sound of the air being blocked by a pair of keyblades and slashing it away. Ranx was already headed in a diagonal to finish off Sylph.

I ran forwards with my scythe in hand directly at Volt. I brought my scythe down straight on the ball of energy, but it simply seemed to phase through him, but before I could draw my scythe away to unleash another attack. An electrical surge ran through me no doubt caused by Volt. I flinched as I moved backwards away from Volt.

Electricity ran through me and even escaped into the air making yellow lightning. Every part of me wanted to scream, but I refuse to even acknowledge the shock.

“You are very lucky,” Volt crackled turning electrical shocks into something like a voice. “That you were not paralyzed.”

“Shut up,” I glared. “Your attacks are so random, they’re not even close to ordered at all.” And that is where I’ll win. I thought to myself.

My muscles twitched from the electricity still trying to escape through my nerves, and I nearly let go of my scythe. I tightened my grip on it until my knuckles turned white. Some of the remaining electricity ran down through the metal of my scythe causing the metal to spark a bit. I slid my hand farther down the scythe and gripped it at nearly the bottom half. My other hand’s fingers tightened around the chain attached to the blade.

Volt started instantly charging for another attack, and as he unleashed it, I threw the chain in a circular motion and swung it forwards. The chain took in the orb of electricity and began spinning around it. There was a small twinge of shock that ran through me due to the metal’s conductivity, but it was not nearly as bad as the first shock.

What could be considered Volt’s eyes narrowed into a glare. I just glared back. After the electricity had been completely absorbed by the chains, the chains fell back to the ground and I pulled it back.

“Is that the only attack you have?” I glared.

I kept a straight face and waited for another attack. One of the only advantages of random attacks was the fact that the opponent had a harder time anticipating the attacks, but when they are mainly the same attack over and over again, it was easy to deflect.

Agitated, Volt shook all over and seemed to be charging yet another attack. But this one was taking longer to charge meaning a different attack. I moved my foot back and got ready to deflect whatever came.

Suddenly my eye caught a giant blade of electricity hovering just above me. I had been so focused on an attack from the front that I hadn’t even considered…..

One of Volt’s eyes narrowed at seeing that I saw this and made an almost smirking look. The blade came down as fast as electricity, and a roar of thunder clapped after.….

I felt the blood pumping through my veins, and I breathed out trying to stay absolutely calm. Every nerve screamed out in my ears. I stood somewhat held up by my scythe. I had just managed to dodge the blade, but it had glanced on my right arm. I breathed out, and the shock ran through me. My pupils shrank as the pain screamed through me. I tried to reach up to my shoulder, but my body resisted the movement and each movement sent a shock through me.

“Weak,” Volt commented. “And paralyzed.”

I shook my head a bit even against the shocks that ran through me. It hurt, but I was not paralyzed. I wouldn’t let him win. Slowly, I took a step forwards and resumed my glare. Seeing me move, Volt seemed even more agitated that before and sparks broke out around him.

“I am not weak,” I glared. “I am Axel’s apprentice, and a fire weaver with an order obsession. BUT I AM NOT WEAK! I WILL MAKE XRAKTOS PAY!”

I stood up fully off of my scythe and gripped it with two hands.

“And it is time I took my place as the Leader of Organization Oblivion,” I glared.

“Pactmaker,” Volt commented.

“No,” I answered.

Suddenly Volt began to change and take a different form. Blue and yellow electricity wrapped around the new form and took the look of clothes. Volt stood in front of me with an almost startling human appearance. Purple hair spiked out of his scalp, and a constant surge of electricity seemed to flow through it. A white and yellow coat followed and then led to bare feet. What looked like a giant antenna was between his index finger and forefinger on his right hand.

“You are Triskix,” Volt commented now speaking perfect English. “The Pactmaker’s dog. You entered upon a human pact with him, and yet you fight against him now. Disgraceful. Even for a human.”

I remained silent for a moment and then returned to glaring.

“I entered upon a pact with him on mutual grounds to be ended when I see the revival of Organization XIII, but Xraktos is the one who broke the pact first. Now I will make him pay for it.”

Volt took on a questionable facial expression.

“You speak like another,” he said crossing his arms. “But it is of no consequence. Do you intend to continue to fight until your death simply because of a pact? You are human and there is some leeway under the circumstances. Leave now and I will let you live.”

“And why would you even think that I would accept such terms,” I glared. “I have suffered, and I am done. Xraktos will pay.”

“He is stronger than you.”

“No I will win. I’ll slice through anyone who stands in my way.”

“Then as part of my pact,” Volt started. “I will fight.”

Blue sparks danced about the room, and fire exploded around them and seemed to eat them. The flames grew as I pulled them closer and closer. I will fight. I will win. I will restore order.

Volt charged forwards with the antenna thing slowly morphing into a staff as he came closer. Electricity roared around it, and white electricity circled around it. I set my scythe and chains on fire and charged forwards as well.

Both our weapons met, and the howl of metal on metal blended with the crackle of fire and the snarl of electricity. It was at a complete stand still as my scythe’s end was logged into the antenna wire. Volt smirked and a shockwave rolled up my scythe and straight through me. I didn’t flinch and shoved my scythe farther through the antenna. In a split second, the antenna snapped in two.

“WHAT!” Volt yelled.

I continued the swing downwards and then spun the other scythe end down and straight through Volt. In an instant, he exploded into fragments of electricity. I stopped and shoved my scythe into the floor to stop myself from falling over. I breathed out.
