Welcome to theOtaku.com Version Vibrant

Otakuites!

It's been six months, six long, long months, but 1.0 of theOtaku.com Version Vibrant has finally arrived. Consider this the official launch post.

Over 50+ new features, complete design and code overhaul, a new site, an integrated backroom, and the birth of a new era...

I encourage you all right now to do two things: (1) Explore, (2) Create, and (3) To report all bugs right here.

So many people beside myself were involved in the creation of Version Vibrant. The biggest shout out goes to Mike Jolley, our lead front end developer and designer. Version Vibrant would not have happened without his tireless contributions from beginning to end.

Aside from Mike, Stephan Massin contributed all the amazing effects you see for commenting and voting, Heather Fusco created our anime emoticons, Jennifer Kennedy created our Spikey Mascot, James Burns, director of OtakuBoards, created the graffiti graphics, our fabulous news and mod/admin team, including Gail, SomeGuy, Kei, Sarah, Beth, kept theOtaku running during this prolonged production period, the podcasters (Ichigo and Batou) kept the podcast alive despite no news, Justin Parker created our teaser trailer, SessLover made a set of backup banners which unfortunately we couldn't use at the last second, though the effort was appreciated, and Aaron Blair oversaw all the server-side technical challenges to get us up and running again. I am grateful to them all.

Thank you all for your patience and support as we fought to get this new site online--and let's begin anew!!

All Bug Reports Go Here!
