Honestly, i wasn't on L's, OR Light's side. I was like Ryuk. Bored. So i decided to watch Death Note and just see what happened. I didn't support Light, i didn't support L, i was just there to see some crazy sh*t happen. And boy, did i get my wish. And (spoiler for anyone who hasn't seen past ep. 25) i didn't cry when L died. Yeah. Or when Light died. Or when ANY character died. Is there something wrong with me ?
Anyways i really liked this review.
Haha, I find it strange that I hate Light so much, since I usually like anti-heros and such. It's probably because I didn't see a whole lot of reasoning behind his motivations, other than "BECAUSE JUSTICE" and that ... shouldn't count. I also find it strange that my favorite and least favorite characters are from the same anime... eh, guess that shows how good Death Note is.
I agree with almost every point you make in this review. The only differences being that I am part of that crowd that thinks the series wasn't as fun after L's death. And I actually kind of like Light. He's kind of fun to hate, too. But L is still my favorite.
