Being artistic...?

Looking back at my old art, and even a lot of recent stuff, I feel like it's all just the dream of a young teen. To be a good artist and to see the world through the critical eyes of the trade. To have a good understanding of the structure of a human and to be able to represent that through pen and paper.

I think I tend to cop out in a lot of things when I draw. Don't get me wrong, I love to draw certain little details, but when it comes to composing a drawing of an expert's caliber, I skimp out. Part of that I wish I could blame on my personality, but I really think I should pay attention to the little things a bit more.

In contrast, there are things I should be more vague about. The blend of the two, vagueness and detail, I think are what composes an artist's style. I want to spend a bit of this summer making up my own style and trying to develop my hand in art.

One thing I wish I did have is either a better scanner or my own camera. Because I have to borrow my sister's it's very rare that I get to put it all on my computer. I still have a load of things that she has yet to give to me... But I hope that it will be up soon.

Jaa~!
