The sadness of joy
is not unknown
but as there is joy
sorrow is shown
dark as midnight
yet soft as sunlight
as a bleak day
wash sorrow away
As buoyant as joy may sound
Right there sorrow will abound
Even when my heart's depressed
My soul will be able to rest
As i stare in awe,
The sadness of joy, i know i once saw.
