Anime copyright policy

Just today as I was about to download the rest of the The Sacred Blacksmith and also to see some information about some newer animes, I noticed that the site "anime-access" has been take down...

Apparently not only that site was, but also many other anime related ones. They all been done so on the request of Funimation (or so I understood). I knew that sooner or later they would do that to anime industry seeing the new copyright policy.

That site was not only for downloading anime, but also for disturbing information, writing reviews, having contests in fanart and such. The thing before was that they couldn't take down these sites is because that all is meant as 'sharing'. But even that is now seen through.

The may not understand that anime being presented on the internet is giving them up to several times higher payment because of the increasing popularity.

Maybe they will lack evidences like usual and let this sites go, we shall see. I just hope that they won't go to far...

Though this is probably something different than SOPA and PIPA, because they are almost done for. Hmm... I think that it will be alright at the end.^^
