My darlings, welcome to Momma Love's Movies with Momma Love! You see, I've always wanted to do movie reviews and such but my friends always say that I'm stupid for trying because I don't know movies. Trust me, I've seen a ton of movies. Sure they're not diverse but I know the difference between good and bad. So, here is where I will tell you which movies you ought and ought not see. I know that won't stop some of you from going to the movies and seeing these horrible things but, if you go, see it in 2D. There's nothing more disappointing that seeing a terrible movie in 3D, you waste money and you waste precious time.

WARNING THERE WILL BE MAD SPOILERS IN THIS WORLD SO READ AT YOUR OWN RISK! I'LL TRY TO KEEP SPOILAGE TO A MINIMUM FOR MOVIES IN THEATERS BUT OTHER THAN THAT I WILL CONSIDER IT FREE GAME!

Without further adieu, welcome to Momma Love's Movies!

Next Review: Les Miserables (2012)

Hocus Pocus (1993)

Love it love it love it love it! Such a classic for me and I always love every second of it. I don't even have anything bad to say about this movie. The witches thrown through time, and the boy announcing to a fake cop that he's a virgin. Funny stuff, I swear. Not very good in the actual scare department but it's still severely entertaining. Another must see, because it's amazing.

Scare Rating: 2/10, again, not terribly terrifying.

An American Werewolf in London (1981)

Okay, as far as werewolf movies go this is one of the classics. A story of two friends backpacking through London, one brutally murdered, the other turned into a werewolf. It's slightly funny and very gorey, especially when the dead friend keeps haunting the newly made werewolf because the only way he can move on from limbo is for his best friend to kill himself. Ridiculous, but I loved it. Weird random sex, interesting transformations, and lots of blood. Perfect for a werewolf flick. Great for Halloween!

Scare Rating: 7/10, lots of blood. SOOOOOOOOOO MUUUUUUUUCH BLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD.

The Addam's Family (1991)

I hadn't actually seen The Addam's Family so when I saw this I was very pleased. It was hilariously disturbing and even when the girl (whose name is escaping me right now) was torturing her brother I was laughing and cringing at the same time. This movie is so ridiculous but it's so amazing that it's a must see for HALLOWEEN. Funny, strange, adorable, and the slightest bit scary.

Scare Rating: 3/10, it's so ridiculous it's barely scary at all.

Never Let Me Go (2010)

A story of a dystopian society after the medical boom of the 50's where children are cloned and later have their organs harvested up to 4 times or until they've hit their "completion", meaning death. A world where cloned children live out the majority of their lives sheltered from the world and lied to, full of deception and heartbreak, where two people who are meant for each other miss out on many of their years because of a sick love triangle. This movie is not for people who hate sobbing like idiots. The most heart-wrenching movie I've seen since Children of Men (2006), deep, depressing, and knowing how the movie is going to end from 20 minutes in does nothing to soften the impact of their inevitable deaths.

Charlie Bartlett (2007)

A movie I've been meaning to watch for a long time. A story of high school stardom while simultaneously helping people who genuinely need it. This movie has subtle underlying humour and several awwwww moments as it tugs at your heart strings. Robert Downey Jr. can never really go wrong and he went so right with this one. This is really for any sap out there that's willing to take a shot with Charlie Bartlett. I don't even know how to explain this movie anymore than I already have. Go and watch it.
