Recent Banning Explained

If a member doesn't seem to be doing anything to improve then at that point a ban is necessary. Remember it's really easy to say you are sorry after the fact, but even harder to prove it by accepting the consequences of your actions after the fact.

One of the biggest complaints I've seen is the requirement to start over and lose all of the medals and status that this member had earned. However, why would we let any member keep status and medals earned through dishonesty, even if not completely intentional? Especially when they had been warned twice that what they were doing wasn't allowed.

It's absoutely not fair to all the members who upon being warned, actually did make an effort to clean up or to fix their mistakes. And it's not like we haven't given them a chance to start over with a clean slate. They're not the first member to have to do this and they won't be the last since we do give people the chance to start over and be a part of our community here.

Anyway, that's pretty much how it works. If anything, I hope building a new account and being more accountable will be a good learning experience for them.
