Commencing raw update ..... naow?

Aaaaaah! People have been updating like mad and I've totally lost the ability to comment accordingly ;___;
But it's super nice to read everyone's posts /gluttonous remark

Aside from working and not working, I've not been up to much. Adjusting to a floating schedule isn't easy to me so nothing tends to get done when there are too many days of down time or there's no spare energy on the occasions that I get overloaded with hours ^^;

Finally got around to cleaning my room properly this week, though. Weird how much some dusting and vacuuming affects the atmosphere/air. I suppose an abundance of dust does affect how the air feels. Yay for freshness! >.>;

Speaking of fresh, Shinmaru's been doing great on his anime updates and, like myself, took advantage of the freeleech BoxTorrents held recently. I maxed out the space on my 'puter pretty fast and still had series of interest to download, with little time left of the grace period. So the solution was to look at a smaller sized series, then prune it out to make room, start downloading a new series and simultaneously watch another one. I don't even know how many days in a row I left the computer on during all that o.O

Thankfully my list of "anime to grab" was completed in time and now I can relax more while going through the backlog. Hm. Lazyness hasn't set in yet. Guess that means I can list off the completed series :o

Important note: I am lazy with "descriptions". This is a bare-bones list of what I've seen, not reviews of them :D

(For those who are short on time, solely interesting in recommended series, head on down until you see ***)

Nanami-chan - Über cute anime about an acorn-looking character. Short episodes. Equally small download size, lol. Apparently there's more to this series but one round was enough for me. For now :p Go for it if you need a picker-upper!

Piano - Slow paced series about a girl who plays ... piano! The end :x

Library Wars - Great comedic anime about a girl and her comrades in a military force battling censorship on books. The lead female is voiced by the same seyuu that does Skip Beat's lead female. And they kinda share the same vibe, despite touching on two totally different subjects. Totally recommend this one!

Hantenkou Yuugi - Episodic tale of a (magical!) girl journeying aimlessly after being thrown out by her father, who thinks she should see the world. Without warning xD Not worth watching if you're adverse to a show that abruptly end in the middle of a cliffhanger and with no continuation in sight (at least not to my knowledge). It's mildly brutal at times, but nothing really stomach churning.

Binbou Shimai Monogatari - *grimaces* Sugarcoated show that I dragged myself through, totally off-put by the siscon-esqueness.

REC - Deals slightly with the anime industry in that the lead female works on establishing herself as a seyuu. She happens to end up living with the leading male character who has come up with a mascot for a brand of crisps/chips which the girl gets to voice. A fun and different take romance anime (Neko-ki should totally get a spin-off >.>)

Comic Party - A young man gets tricked into entering the world of doujinshi by his fellow classmate, who tends to throw out americanized lines (such as "my brother!"). It could've been better executed. Meh.

Bartender - Awesome series about the drinks a bartender presents his customers with. It's very slow paced and oh-so-enjoyable. Grab it noooooow :3

Good witch of the west - Eeeeeeh, drudged myself through this one. It wants to be a bit of everything: yuri, shounen-ai, action, romance, magic, etc.

Sentimental Journey - Episodic series revolving around love. Some of the episodes are wonderful whilst others don't have the same impact. The one with a girl conversing with a Buddhist priest/monk (?) is worth the download alone, in my humble opinion. There was probably one or two more but that's the one I remember most.

Diary of Tortle Roddov - I love the animation and it would've been great to see more, but sadly it's only a few episodes "long" (even with the extra material). Definitely give it a go, since it won't take up much time or space :D

Kenko Zenrakei Suieibu Umisho - Semi-funny fanservice-filled show about a school's swim team and the mysterious girl who arrives in town on a house boat with her father. The team's captain both makes me gag and snort in amusement. Shizuoka is hilarious.

Kaiba - Finally got around to wrapping this one up after watching two episodes when they first got out, getting freaked out by the hentai scene o.O, then forgetting about it and being reminded of it while browsing for series to download.

The animation is wonderfully quirky/refreshing, musically it wowed me over and over [a couple more times], character and story-wise it just rocks. Everyone should give this a try. Looks like a children's anime but isn't.

Yume Tsukai - Interesting show about dreams crossing the border that separates them from reality and thus turning them into a real nightmare. They messed up the pacing slightly towards the end, regarding Touko and the backstory, but other than that it was fairly enjoyable.

Crystal Blaze - Detective series + Secret organization dealing with human experiments = Interesting mix.
I wanted to kill Manami, though. So annoying in personality and action. Porylin/Pauline balances it all out by being super awesome.

Lamune - Slow paced romance. I enjoyed it :)

Cinderella Boy - Detective show with retro feel. After an accident the lead man and woman inhabits the same body, which takes them 4 episodes (I think) to figure out ... by matter of coincidence ... and a third party character. Interesting premise which could've been handled a lot better.

Angel's Egg - O__O wtf????..... Heavy symbolism which may or may not have a meaning. Creepy atmosphere.

Windy Tales - Very relaxing. Fitting show to watch today since it's been very windy outside, lol. Likeable characters. Quirky animation style (think Shin-Chan or whatever the poop-kid show is called). Flying cats, lawl!

Wow. Despite not putting much effort into it I feel somewhat drained xD!! For those too lazy to read what has been essentially zilch about the series I've watched, head on over to My Anime List to see my scores. That should give you an indication of my overall thoughts on them. And also links to informative pages about the shows, written by people more ambitious than me :p
